Cottage in a perfect location
Outstanding cottage to a high standard with decks overlooking the river and in the distance can see the local train. Lovely village and plenty of walks. Would love to return.
Thanks for the great review - I'm pleased you enjoyed the cottage, the village and the surrounding area. I would love to welcome you back one day - despite the distance!
Thank you, Lynn, for a wonderful stay. Your cottage is in a fantastic location to explore the area. Easy parking out front. It’s a 2 minute walk into town or to start walks around the area. The cottage is very clean (spotless!) and the kitchen is well stocked with pantry staples (for example olive oil, salt, spices). We grocery shopped on the way into the area. For odds and ends there is a well stocked little general store. All wonderful! Thank you, again.
Lovely cottage, good location
Really enjoyed our stay, perfect location for walks - close to Beddgelert forest Rhyd Ddu starting point for climbing snowdon. Loved the fact the cottage backed onto a river, would have been lovely to sit outside with a glass of wine had we had better weather. Also found the beds super comfy. Have already recommended this cottage to other people.
A beautiful cottage on the banks of the river
We loved it here at Rhiwlas. Just minutes from the centre of the village, very clean and all the amenities we needed (milk, tea, coffee & biscuits on our arrival!) It was lovely to sit out on the balcony with a glass of wine overlooking the river with the mountains in the background. Close to lots of good walks and climbs. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely comfortable cottage with views over the hills. Great location for exploring snowdonia.
Borth y Gest beach is 9 miles away, you can walk along the coast to Criccieth or walk down onto a number of sandy beaches. Just half a mile further is Morfa Bychan where you will find the long sandy beach of Black Rock with the sand dunes providing places for children to explore.
The Welsh Highland Railway - Steam train that goes from Porthmadog to Caernarfon stops in the village and is a 10 minutes walk away.

Please note there is no ATM in the village. With certain banks, you can use your card at The Post Office which is also a shop. The nearest supermarket is Tesco at Porthmadog. There is a large 24 hour Tesco, 20 miles away in Bangor.
