Big group break
Great property in a nice location. Plenty of space and great garden. Lack of water pressure for showers was the only issue, but otherwise would recommend for big groups and active kids.
Wonderful short break
Spacious, well equipped house with plenty of space for our 11 guests. Malcolm, the owner, responded to all my queries promptly and was very helpful. The house is ideally situated for exploring the Cairngorms and we had a great time.
Hello Charlotte, thank you for the kind comments and positive review. Malcolm
Very nice accomodation, Great location
Thank you for your kind review - Hope to welcome you back to Achnagonalin. Malcolm
Achnagonlin was a great house and location for our family weekend. The thirteen of us had a wonderful time. The house is not fancy but very functional for a party like ours with plenty of space for lively children. The grounds are ideal and safe for youngsters to play where they can do little damage although they were told not to walk on the daffodils which were beautiful this April. It is also very convenient for Aviemore, Cairngorms and various bike runs if that is your thing. All together a very good accommodation.
This property worked well for our family of 11.
For a self catering experience, this house worked well. The kitchen is large and well equipped. To their credit, there are also 2 refrigerators-a big bonus!
The property is well located for day trips into the Highlands, many of them just an hour or so away.
As others have suggested, this is a casual home that exudes relaxation in every way.
Grantown-on-Spey has plenty of amenities and is only 10 to 15 minutes away.
Great accomodation for our group of 10 persons with a very nice location
