Being totally refurbished but retaining many original features Courtyard Farm cottages offer perfect holiday accommodation. Converted from farm buildings around a central courtyard in 10 acres of land in this area of outstanding natural beauty. There are many lovely walks on your doorstep with beaches and fishing harbours just a short car journey away. Courtyard Farm is situated at the head of the Valency Valley within easy reach of one the most beautiful and dramatic coastlines in England. The cottages were once a 17th century mill, now lovingly converted into quality holiday accommodation. The North Cornwall Atlantic Coast includes over 60 miles of spectacular cliffs, beaches and coves. We are ideally located for anyone wishing to explore this beautiful coastline, or venture inland and discover the many towns and villages that are steeped in history and legend. Only a short distance away are many stunning beaches including Trebarwith and, Daymer Bay, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven and Polzeath. Bossiney Beach and Strangles are approached, like many Cornish coves, by dramatic cliff walks. Port Isaac is a quiet picturesque fishing village, in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the popular harbour at Padstow. Also nearby is Tintagel with its old Post Office and legendary King Arthur's Castle overlooking the sea, just waiting to be explored. Take a stroll around the shops in Wadebridge and hire a bicycle to ride along the Camel Trail. Venture onto the rugged landscape of Bodmin Moor, steeped in history and ghost stories. Further along the coast is Bude, with excellent leisure facilities, beaches, shops and an 18-hole golf course.

You won't believe the view!

  • 5 of 5

Courtyard Farm Cottages is a fantastic place to base yourself for a Cornish adventure. The whole place is kept immaculate, both inside and outside of the cottage. We stayed in Pine which is incredibly comfortable and exactly what we needed. The raised deck at the back of the cottage has the most amazing views across the valley and to the sea in the distance, a fantastic place to eat your breakfast in the morning! Sean is also an incredible host, on hand if needed but equally will leave you to it if not. Special mention must also go to the play equipment which is a particular favourite with my daughter, especially the trampoline! Overall it's fantastic, we certainly can't wait to go back!

Lovely Cottage in a Beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Pines cottage did not disappoint. The view from the lovely deck is stunning, gorgeous Cornish countryside and a distant view of the sea. The cottage itself is cute and cosy, part of a set of cottages set around a lovely courtyard. Beautiful old stone buildings outside while inside clean and modern. There was a bit of a chill when we first arrived (it's a solid stone building after all) as we were the first visitors for a week or two I believe but Sean put on the very efficient storage heaters and we were cosy very quickly. Sean and Kerrie live nearby and were very happy to offer help and local knowledge. The cottage was light and spacious enough for four (we were only two that week) and there was plenty of room in the well laid out interior. The bed was very comfy and I slept better than I had done for a while. The bathroom was spacious with a gorgeous slipper bath and an excellent electric power shower cubicle. The kitchen was equipped with all that we needed. We basically were planning to only have breakfast or snacks but there was everything for full self catering if we wanted it. As coffee lovers a slightly larger cafetière would have been perfect, but we managed. We loved having breakfast and lunch or watching the sun go done with a local beer on the deck overlooking that beautiful view. So peaceful. There is a lovely children's area, trampoline, and swing and climbing farm treehouse thing, and a games room next to the cottages with tennis table, billiard table and a full size snooker table for the adults. There is a large well kept paddock garden leading to more fields to walk dogs (which are welcome). Cottage is located about 15 mins drive from Boscastle with lovely eateries and a small spa shop as well as entry to the SW Coast path for walking. The drive down the quiet Cornish lanes brought us close to a buzzard who we surprised just after he caught his supper and some lovely babbling streams.

We throughly enjoyed our stay, and wished we could have stayed a bit longer. This is one we are favouriting for a future visit.

We had a great time staying here. Very homely feeling when we arrived. Accommodation was to a high standard and it was great that we were able to bring our dog with us. We will definitely be returning and would recommend a stay to others

A wonderful cottage with special views

  • 5 of 5

Upon driving down a very narrow lane following our Sat Nav hoping nothing would com the other way, we arrived at the Courtyard Farm and we were pleasantly surprised by the views across the fields towards the coast and even more impressed with the standard of the accommodation. The weather was good to us which helped to make our weeks stay of coastal walks a wonderful experience. The cottage was in a peaceful and tranquil position and if we returned to the same area we would not hesitate in booking again.

Great property; ideal for a couple or young family

  • 5 of 5

First holiday with our twin daughters (5 months) and eldest daughter (2 yrs old). Great cottage, with everything we needed. It was the perfect size, and the wood burner was a lovely touch in the evenings. The weather didn't allow us much use of the balcony, but the cottage has lovely views. All the major attractions in Cornwall and no more than a 45 minute drive away, and despite the inclement weather, there was no shortage of things to do. We would definitely stay here again.
