About sandra White
Russell and I run an Eco company locally, we have lived in the area most of our lives and love this location.
sandra White purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why sandra White chose Holywell
Two years ago we saw Lilly Cottage as a derelict, unloved property, we fell in love with its character and saw the potential of this to become our weekend retreat! As a family we have worked hard on this property to realise our dream. Although we still use Lilly Cottage we believe that others can enjoy it and the surrounding area.
What makes this Cottage unique
This small but perfectly formed cottage has quaint exposed beams and inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove, which we have married together with modern technology. The old miners cottage now benefits from all the mod cons. Keep a look out for the free roaming sheep who like to take a wander down the road!
Home from Home
This was our third stay at this Home from Home cottage in Brynford and have no hesitation in recommending this property, The cottage is well equipped, immaculate and the owner very welcoming and friendly. A gem of a property!
Thanks once again Stuart you are model guests and its a pleasure to welcome you back anytime
Very cosy and well thought out modernisation of lovely old cottage
Comfortable cottage with parking outside on the roadside. Enjoyable stay and excellent for Chester, Liverpool or North Wales touring. Well furnished with quality beds and sofas. Modern kitchen area and lovely log burner. No hesitation in recommending to people who love a cosy cottage with character, but also like 21st century comfort as well. Instantly felt at home here and would rebook again whenever staying in the area.
Thank you please come back and stay in the winter when its lovely and cosy with the log burner
Cosy clean fully equipped extremely kind and helpful owner's
I would recommend this cottage. It is filled with everything you would need. Extremely clean and well cared for. Myself and my family enjoyed our stay and would like to book in the future.
Beautiful rural setting - great for Snowdon and Liverpool
A very lovely and cosy cottage which was an ideal base to explore North Wales. A charming and beautiful little property with everything that you need for a short stay boasting loads of character and Welsh charm and although close to the beach (Talarce and its lighthouse at sunset a must see), far enough away from the commercial resorts to remain authentic. We received a warm welcome in the Crocked Horn Inn which is just up the road, and took lots of pictures of sheep just wandering down the road!
Supermarkets close by as well as the charming town of Holywell and its history. Plus a perfect location to explore with only an hour to Snowdon and an hour to Liverpool.
Some impressive castles too and Colwyn Bay a must. Be hiring a kayak next time from it’s great little water sports centre.
Sandra, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful and obliging and you really felt her and her husband wanted you to enjoy your stay - even texting to wish us a safe journey home.
Highly recommend and would definitely visit again. So much to see and do! Even did the local Park Run on Saturday morning before we left! A fab time😊
Sarah is very responsive and the cottage was as shown on VRBO. The location a nice place to get away😀
