Peaceful rural location, short walk to the beach, village pubs and shop. Horse riding close by.

On the stunning Heritage coastline with country & coastal walks, village pubs and a small shop. There’s also horse riding on the beach, the coast road is perfect for cyclists and the lovely market town of Cowbridge is not too far. Delightful

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely and relaxing time in the log cabin. My boyfriend and I booked the cabin after we booked tickets for a concert in Cardiff and found that it was very easy to get to Cardiff both by driving and by train. It is perfectly positioned close to Bridgend as well to get essentials from big supermarkets as well as being close to the quaint and picturesque village of Cowbridge which is a lovely day trip that doesn't take long to have a look around and is easily doable even in just half a day. It is also extremely close to some lovely Welsh coast with astonishingly beautiful beaches, one of which featured in Series 2 of Doctor Who which was a fun surprise! By these beaches there are also mysterious hidden away castles in the hills which were perfect to explore for a day.

The cabin itself has everything you need, is private and well kept. Although we only got a chance to meet one of the owners, he was extremely welcoming, friendly and chatty and we felt very welcome on the farm. Obviously, the property is on a working farm so some noise from the outside is expected, such as the odd sheep bleet and the odd tractor or two, but honestly this does not affect the enjoyment or experience at all and I had some of the best night's sleeps I've had in a while in the cabin!

Overall, the property was clean, in a perfect location and was exactly what we needed and wanted it to be. We look forward to hopefully visiting again, especially at such a good price!

A perfect getaway for two

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent stay here. The cabin is really nicely appointed for two people and has everything you would need for a short getaway. It is comfortable, clean and very welcoming. It is fantastic value. The surrounding areas are stunning - Southerndown and Ogmore beaches are beautiful, and the cabin is well situated to get to lots of interesting places. The owners are lovely yet not intrusive in any way - and the fresh eggs that you can buy are absolutely delicious! We had a brilliant holiday here.
