About Jacqui McLaren

We live and work locally. Have lived in Northumberland all our lives, have a wealth of information regarding attractions and sights to see. Basically we love where we live.

Jacqui McLaren purchased this house in 2013

Why Jacqui McLaren chose Northumberland Coast

The vacant Barclays Bank building was purchased in 2013 and has been converted into 3 luxury holiday homes to a very high standard. They are ideally situated for the local amenities and offer any visitor a good base for exploring our County and the immediate area.

What makes this house unique

The properties are convenient for local amenities but in a quiet area. Bank View offers spacious surroundings, peace and quiet whilst still looking out on to the Market Place. Comfortable property furnished to a high standard.

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay in Northumberland, good for walking, castles and close enough to Edinburgh for a visit. The property is furnished to a good standard, was very neat and tidy and had everything we needed. It is a close to a couple of hotels for eating out and has a Co-op within a couple of minutes walk to stock up on essentials.

Immaculate cottage with homely feel

  • 5 of 5

Jacqui met us at the cottage with a warm welcome and left us a basket of tea, coffee, biscuit's and jam. The house was spotlessly clean and had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. The pub across the road was great for food and drink, also child friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Well presented and immaculate property.

We had a week in the property and found it to be a very rewarding retreat. The furnishings, equipment, linens, electricals, comfort and location, in fact everything about this place, were nothing short of amazing.

We would definitely return to this property and also recommend it to friends and family.

Fabulous Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

It is a fabulously spacious, smart, clean and well equipped property. It couldn't have been better equipped with washer/dryer, ipod speaker etc.- a real home from home (even Balsamic/ Olive Oil and herbs in the cupboard!) and the contact from the owner was really good (including a welcome hamper) specially selected pink fairy duvet for my daughter and even milk in the fridge.

The location is great, right at the heart of a lovely village with lots of amenities and perfectly situated only a few miles from amazing beaches and a host of attractions and historic sites.

We already have recommended this property to friends and would happily book it again.

We went to over 2 dozen places and beaches and don't really know where to start in terms of recommending things but all the beaches are awesome (Bamburgh is something else inc. fab Castle and Grace Darling Museum) and Farne Islands trip is a must do Alnwick Castle and Gardens are lovely (book early for dinner in the treehouse) and at the opposite end of the scale the totally madcap Chillingham Castle and the wild cattle are out of this world and Cragside is a great day trip.
