About Karan

My husband and I have owned Irton Manor for approximately 9 years, we have spent a lot of time bringing the estate up to the standard it is today and we would love to share it with you. Our gardens are beautiful and the house is comfy and spacious and with so much to do on the estate you could spend all your time here.

Karan purchased this chateau / country house in 2007

Why Karan chose Yorkshire Moors and Coast

We have lived in the area for most of our lives and when the property came up for sale we had to buy it even though we had to spend 2 years renovating it to the standard it is today, entering the gates you feel that at the end of the drive there is a special house. The peace and quite at Irton is very relaxing but it is just a short drive into Scarborough.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Irton Manor has 6 spacious bedrooms (5 south facing with 4 ensuites), 3 further bedrooms are situated in Courtyard Cottage which has an indoor corridor linking it to the Manor which means we can accommodate up to 18 guests (the cottage is priced separately) the Manor is very convenient to the town, beaches and moors yet with all the facilities we have on site you may wish to stay within our 35 acres and enjoy the estate.

Family weekend away.

  • 5 of 5

If you want a place to stay with a WOW factor this is the place to be. It was even better than photographs on the web. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need was provided. The setting was wonderful and the warm sunny weather we enjoyed during our stay enabled us to make the most of the outside facilities including the golf, tennis and barbecue. The swimming pool was excellent, much enjoyed by younger members of the family. The welcome we received from Karen and all the staff was first class. All the information you needed was provided in a clear and timely way. We couldn't find fault with anything. The location was good for trips to the beaches in Scarborough and Filey and we enjoyed an excellent meal at The Copper Kettle in Seamer. A wonderful experience with memories of a family time together that will last. a long time. Would I recommend this property to a friend or relative? I already have.

fabulous, fantastic, five star!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second weekend at Irton, and it was even better than the first! Irton Manor exudes luxurious comfortable facilities. Karen provides a seamless and friendly booking experience from the moment you enquire and is always available for any questions or queries. The house is tucked away in its own little haven on the edge of the North York Moors. The gardens are beautifully maintained and offer so much more with the secret gardens, waterfalls and summer houses. Everything you could need is provided and is done so to a very high standard. The Lodge is beautiful and offers a great escape, perfect for a group or family. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and all offer something special and unique. Every aspect of the house and grounds are five star and the care and attention to detail is extraordinary. We would like to thank Irton Manor for such a wonderful retreat experience and we just can not wait to return again soon.

Fabulous Country Estate Holiday House

  • 5 of 5

Our second Easter holiday on the bounce here at Irton Manor- and it

didn't disappoint on our return visit! You always worry about returning somewhere as you never quite have the magic and the surprise that you have on the first visit, however Irton Manor has been just as fantastic and magical as the first time - as Karen said it is quickly becoming our 2nd home!!:-)

The facilities again have left us wanting for nothing- I think the kids

have enjoyed the swimming pool even more than last year and we have seen a great improvement in the weather this time - only one rainy day compared to 12 last year so I have had plenty of time to improve my golf and the kids their tennis! We have indulged in some beauty treatments ( a belated mothers day gift for my wife and mother in law) and can highly recommend the services of Victoria Hill 07936401443 so much that we got her back the second week - she also gave my 4 & 9 year old daughters a mini manicure + pedicure to boot!

We have had days at Flamingo land (twice-awsome!), Playdale farm (very handy), Whitby (quaint), York ( beautiful + shoptastic), Malton

(Scrummy) & Robin Hoods Bay (lovely once you get parked- our advice is get there early to avoid the hour wait for a parking space - although we did pick the warmest Sunday of the year so far!

All in all a fantastic holiday - just what the doctor ordered after

just moving house + office in the last month.

We will definitely be back in the not too distant future to enjoy

another perfect holiday.

Thank you Karen, Karan+Paul and Team

Out of this world amazing weekend!!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I have just come back from a relaxing girls weekend and can I say that Irton Manor was absolutely amazing .... overwhelmingly so!! The Space and both modern and old features complimented this magnificent home. Karen and the staff do an amazing job maintaining the home, grounds and pool. We were very sad to leave as we made such fun and memories at Irton Manor and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family in the future (as long as they invite me too). Superb!!

Annies 60th / Jothams 6th Birthday Celebrations

  • 5 of 5

Where do I start ? Probably the ultimate location for a family / friends gathering.A magnificent building in a equally beautiful location.Karen, the House Manager and all the support staff couldnt do enough to help make our stay one to remember.

The facilities are first class, lovely little touches eg.fresh free range eggs, bottles of wine, birthday rose etc.all helped to make our family break one the children and grandchildren will always remember.

There is so much room in the Manor, beautiful quiet areas ,an exciting games room and exceptional pool area , everywhere decorated to a very high standard.

Unfortunately I feel all future family holidays are going to be compared with this one.Cant imagine how I top it !
