Christmas in the Dales

  • 5 of 5

We could not have had a better Christmas holiday in the Dales. The cottage was warm and cosy and the owners had gone to the trouble of decorating it with a tree and lights. There was plenty of wood for the stove, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and even a full Xmas dinner.

We came with our grown up children so managed to do some great walks around Keld, which has dramatic scenery and a very fast flowing river and waterfalls. There is a great pub in Muker at the end of a long hike, as well as the town of Hawes nearby. The Keld Resource centre is opposit e the cottage, and its history was very interesting. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to come back to it one day.

Cannot fault the cottage. Everything required for the perfect holiday in a lovely area.Nothing too much trouble for Alison and Ray.

Lovely walks along the river. The meadow alongside the cottage was a mass of colour with all the wild flowers.

Looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic cottage in great location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and well-equipped and made a fantastic location for a relaxing weekend away with friends. The surrounding scenery is wonderful and there are many beautiful walks from the village. Owners are very friendly and finding the log burner lit and a cake for our arrival was much appreciated!
