About Emma Summersgill
My husband Tim and I have lived in North Yorkshire for most of our lives. The Cottage is in the grounds of our house so we will usually be on hand to offer as much or little assistance as you require With 2 children aged 5 and 3 we moved here for them to experience village life yet be near enough to the towns and attractions we also enjoy experiencing. Kind regards, Emma

Very peaceful and comfortable retreat, we will stay again.
Only complaint, there was a broken venetian blind in the living room. Suggest lowering the mirror in the bathroom - too high for somebody 5ft 3inches.
We found it a very useful place to stay for visiting relatives in Harrogate and also visiting the North York Moors and the Dales.
Had a good day out at Whitby, great fish and chips at the Magpie Cafe. The whole holiday enhanced by wonderful weather.
Cottage was quiet but required uplift. We thought it was tired looking especially kitchen. Bottom cupboard in wardrobe was stiff hard to open . The owners were lovely and helpful
Very cosy and peaceful
It's a beautiful little cottage. It was very clean and comfy and had everything we needed. We had a lovely peaceful few days and hope to return. The owner Emma was a lovely lady, very helpful but also we felt she was very respectful of our privacy.

The bed was really comfy and the sofas were also.
It is in amazing setting and the area it is in is brilliant for every way In Yorkshire you may wish to go.
Emma was available if we needed her but we didn’t and was left alone.
Plenty of wildlife out the front and back.

Warm welcome from Emma and a lovely bottle of wine.
Stairs to cottage were a bit rickety but Emma said she was waiting for some repairs to be done. The garden furniture needed updating but all in all a comfortable stay.
Hi Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you had a comfortable stay - just to let you know the 2 steps have now been repaired by my joiner, glad you could enjoy the garden. Hope to see you again!
Perfect and peaceful
Just right for visiting the places on our list including Harewood House and Fountains Abbey. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including its own little garden which we used in the unseasonably warm weather! There is a large supermarket with a fuel station a few miles away and we were only a short distance from the A1, Emma's directions were spot on and we found the cottage with no problem. Emma was very helpful and friendly, making sure we had all we needed.
Thank you for your positive comments, I'm glad you packed so much in to your stay here and enjoyed so many of the beautiful places nearby. Hope to see you again!
