Why Anne Styles chose Léoville
Centrally located between Cognac and Bordeaux and the mild Charent-Maritime climate.
What makes this Barn unique
La Chapelle is a former Winery which was renovated in 2008, and the Chai forms the North-Western corner of the building—easy to keep the wine cool in the warm climate of Haute Saintonge. Larger than average and arranged on one floor, the Chai has been renovated and equipped to a high standard in 2014 and enjoys exclusive use of the Chai garden, pool, terrace and adjoining small barn.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful rural setting
We have just returned from our first holiday in France at The Chai and were totally taken back by this lovely part of France.
Anne and Martin were lovely hosts from the moment we met them and throughout our two week stay were always happy to help and guide us to the best attractions and places to visit.
The accommodation was superb, clean and very spacious and catered for our two families each with a teenager. The pool was ideal along with the barn with its table tennis and many recreational items as well as the large and spacious area outside which was ideal for alfresco dining, we had many a happy evening spent having a BBQ and watching the beautiful sunsets.
We would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to visit again.
Many thanks Wayne for your lovely review. We very much enjoyed having you all here as guests and glad that you discovered a little that this part of France has to offer. Be sure that you are welcome back at any time !
Great property, met all our expectations,
Ann & Martin were great hosts.
This was our first sortie to the Bordeaux region of France. We stayed at the Chai at La Chappelle having driven all the way from Kent. Ann and Martin greeted us in a typical French relaxed manor and we were grateful for the welcome pack, it enabled us to have a cup of tea and a dip in the pool after the long drive. The flamingo in the pool caused much merriment for us and our family at home (once photos were supplied to them).
The accommodation in a quiet rural area with spectacular views was clean, spacious and well kitted out for all our needs
Martin and Ann with their local knowledge were happy to spend time helping us plan our excursions. The local village hosts a butcher, baker and in the summer a pop up restaurant which we really enjoyed all within a healthy 25 min walking distance.
We would recommend the property to anyone who seeks a quiet relaxed, secure, rural location with drivable access to many places of interest.
Thank you very much for your great review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed both The Chai and this lovely area of France. Welcome back anytime !
Beautiful property, stunning location.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful Chai. The accommodation is clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of outdoor space. The owners are helpful and welcoming, with plenty of ideas if you ask where to visit. We will certainly recommend this property to friends. Good for couples or families.
Many thanks for your lovely review. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Beautiful and relaxing
We stayed for 10 days in August 2016 and were immediately blown away by the property, the garden and the stunning views. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. The pool was lovely and with a 2 year old and 11 month old running around the raised style was perfect as we didn't need to worry about any unexpected swims! There were lots of toys and games for the kiddies to play with during the day. The views from the garden were wonderful and every evening we enjoyed the lovely sunsets with a glass of wine!
There was only one restaurant in the village which was a BBQ style and was a bit too far to walk in the evening so we tended to head out in the car if we were eating out.
I would definately reccomend the Chai for families with children. A beautiful, spacious place, with everything you need and sunsets to always remember!
Thank you for your great review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future.
This property was underestimated as it was more than we expected. Clean, well maintained and plenty of facilities even down to toys for the children. Extremely pleasant and very helpful owners without being imposing. Would certainly recommend to friends and family. Superb views especially from the seat under the tree, lovely extensive house and garden.
Many thanks for your lovely review, we hope to see you again in the future.
We had a lovely holiday here with many attractions and site seeing opportunities within easy reach. The Chai is very well equipt and is a relaxing place to stay, with its own pool and decking to watch the sun go down. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming and are always on hand if required to offer advice on days out or assist with any queries. Would recommend staying here for families and couples. I will definitely return with my family again!! A*
Many thanks for your lovely review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Chai and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
