About Michelle Proctor
My Husband and I have lived in Bromley, South London for 15 years. We have a 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son.
Michelle Proctor purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Michelle Proctor chose Whitstable
We fell in love Whitstable after staying in this beautiful coastal town during 2013. We enjoy wandering through the quaint high street, with it's independent shops and fantastic restaurants.
What makes this Cottage unique
We bought Sherbet Cottage in 2013. The location of the cottage is perfect, 2 minutes walk to the harbour, beach and high street. With it's own parking space at the cottage, this relieves any parking stress during high season.

Beautiful cottage, immaculately clean and thoughtfully furnished
A wonderful cottage, beautifully decorated and furnished, with everything you could possibly need. Our children loved the sweetshop - a very thoughtful and popular addition. Perfectly positioned for walking to the town and harbour. We had a wonderful time despite the appalling weather and would love to revisit Sherbert Cottage when the sun is shining! Thank you.
Fantastic cottage in a great location
Clean, very well equipped cottage that looks as good as the photos. It's cosy without being cramped; each of the three bedrooms is a good size (not two bedrooms and a box room that you might expect).
Great location; minutes from the town centre, restaurants, pubs and harbour but in a quiet pedestrianised street with parking round the back of the house; although you could easily have a great holiday without here without a car as there is a lot to do and see.
Michelle was very prompt, clear and helpful in all communications. Thanks Michelle; hope to return soon.
Well worth the money and ideal for what I wanted!
Perfect base location to enable you to visit all areas of this part of the country, plus property was just right for families with young children or a larger adult group
A wonderful place in a wonderful place
I'm reluctant to write anything too positive here, because I don't want to generate competition for the place, when we return to The Sherbet Cottage. Because return, we definitely will. It's a lovely, cosy and characterful place to stay, in a great location, in a great town.
I tried telling the kids that the delightful little sweet shop in the dining room was 'decorative'. But they eventually broke me (but not their teeth).
I'd definitely recommend staying there, just please don't try booking it when we're next going!
Beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable cottage.
So many interesting features in the cottage. Colour scheme gorgeous, bedding very high standard. Loved all the objects around the cottage. Very cosy for nights in. No negatives at all, just could consider a non slip mat for bath when having a Shower and thermostat in shower. Loved Whitstable cafes, shops and bracing walks along the beach. We would all like to come again.
A lovely cottage right in the heart of Whitstable
My mum, teenage sons & I loved our stay at pretty Sherbet cottage. It is very close to everything in Whitstable but quiet and peaceful. The decor is lovely and everything has been thought out really well. The bed linen, towels etc are of really good quality and the beds really comfortable. My son loved the sweet shop! The owner is very helpful and replied very quickly to messages and the house has a parking space which is really useful.
Special interest holidays: Quite simply, Whitstable is unlike any other town you will visit by the sea and it manages to offer something for everyone. It is best known for its native oysters and its annual Whitstable Oyster Festival but it also benefits from a strong arts culture embodied by the numerous independent Whitstable galleries and craft shops and has a rich maritime history. Whitstable boasts spectacular sunsets and miles of beaches and its distinctive character and ambience is all within easy reach of the city (60 miles east of London). As you're by the sea, why not take a beginners course in sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing? Whitstable has excellent conditions for water sports and Whitstable Yacht Club is a good place to start. If you are looking to buy suitable clothing and accessories for anything and everything marine related, there's no better place to go than the Dinghy Store. Whitstable Marine just next door, can provide everything from kayaks to water-ski equipment. Coast/Beach: Walking distance to the harbour and beach. Travel: Whitstable has a direct fast train service from London which takes just over an hour, there are services from train stations including Victoria and St. Pancras. Travelling to Whitstable by road is also easy with the M2 motorway only moments away from the town.
