About Michelle Proctor

My Husband and I have lived in Bromley, South London for 15 years. We have a 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son.

Michelle Proctor purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Michelle Proctor chose Kent

We fell in love Whitstable after staying in this beautiful coastal town during 2013. We enjoy wandering through the quaint high street, with it's independent shops and fantastic restaurants.

What makes this cottage unique

We bought Sherbet Cottage in 2013. The location of the cottage is perfect, 2 minutes walk to the harbour, beach and high street. With it's own parking space at the cottage, this relieves any parking stress during high season.

Stylish , comfortable and cosy cottage

Sherbet cottage was a lovely place to stay. It's convenienly located for the shops and restaurants, tastefully decorated and furnished and has comfortable beds and settees. It was also warm and cosy for our November break. We loved staying there.

A lovely base for a long weekend in Whitstable.

  • 5 of 5

Sherbet Cottage is in an excellent location to make the most of Whitstable's attractions- a stone's throw from the harbour, high street, beachside path etc. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. We found it ideal for four adults, but think it might be rather cramped for six. The wood burner was very nice and lit like a dream. We appreciated having lots of seasoned wood, kindling etc provided. Given the problems some people have in parking in Whitstable (main car park is quite expensive) the fact that the cottage has its own parking space is a real bonus.

Michelle answered our communications very swiftly and efficiently.

If you don't know Whitstable I think you will be delighted with the lively little town, full of character.

Great cottage, perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for a great stay. The cottage was in a perfect location with easy walks into the centre and to the coast. The cottage was very well maintained with 3 good bedrooms and a good outside space. Would highly recommend and revisit when back in Whitstable.

Sherbet Cottage was perfect for our relaxing weekend away

  • 5 of 5

Six adults shared Sherbet Cottage for a weekend and it was just perfect. Tucked away in a quiet road close to the harbour and high street which has some unique shops and a choice of many great restaurants close by too. Great for long walks along the beach. The Cottage was immaculately clean and exceptionally well maintained, we would highly recommend it.

Special interest holidays:

Quite simply, Whitstable is unlike any other town you will visit by the sea and it manages to offer something for everyone. It is best known for its native oysters and its annual Whitstable Oyster Festival but it also benefits from a strong arts culture embodied by the numerous independent Whitstable galleries and craft shops and has a rich maritime history. Whitstable boasts spectacular sunsets and miles of beaches and its distinctive character and ambience is all within easy reach of the city (60 miles east of London).

As you're by the sea, why not take a beginners course in sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing? Whitstable has excellent conditions for water sports and Whitstable Yacht Club is a good place to start. If you are looking to buy suitable clothing and accessories for anything and everything marine related, there's no better place to go than the Dinghy Store. Whitstable Marine just next door, can provide everything from kayaks to water-ski equipment.

Walking distance to the harbour and beach.

Travel:

Whitstable has a direct fast train service from London which takes just over an hour, there are services from train stations including Victoria and St. Pancras.
