About the property

St Just, Penzance - Quiet location, close to the sea, valleys and the moors.

This charming granite cottage has been renovated and has many interesting features. The kitchen/dining room has steps down to the garden which is a south facing sun trap. The lounge has a wood burning stove and logs are provided. There is ample parking for 2 cars on the road just outside the cottage. St Just is a walk over the fields (or a very short drive) away which has a co op, interesting galleries, a fish and chip shop, cafes and many pubs all serving good food. On the door step is Kenidjack valley most of which is managed by the National Trust and is a great place for exploring the old tin mining area and wildlife, finishing at a rocky cove close to Cape Cornwall and within walking distance of the tin mining area where Poldark has been filmed. Going inland there are moors where there is a Bronze Age stone circle.

Sennen Beach is about 4 miles away and is a well known surf beach. All around are fantastic beaches including Porthcurno; there is a beach for every day of the week!

About ali law

My name is Ali and I bought the house 10 years ago mainly because I loved the sunny garden as I'm a keen gardener. I love the location of the house, being able to walk to St Just and down the valley to the sea. My partner and I decided to holiday let the property during the summer period as we are happy to spend time in our camper van. The house has been renovated to a high standard and is now lovely inside.

ali law purchased this cottage in 2004

Why ali law chose Saint Just

The cottage is in a lovely quiet location within walking distance of the sea it has a sunny sheltered garden and is close to St Just, an interesting small town with many galleries.

Guestbook comments from the manager

I had been meaning to contact you to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. Your house has such a lovely feel to it and it was nice to stay somewhere that felt so homely rather than a sparse rental property. Thanks also for going out of your way to provide baby stuff. The children are vey much missing watching the rabbits in the field at bedtime.

Beautiful cottage with lovely garden

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the cottage in St Just. Ali was very friendly and welcoming, there was milk, teabags, wine and beer and lovely fresh flowers on our arrival. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped, I can't think of anything that wasn't provided! St Just (about 10 minutes walk from the cottage) has everything you need, a co-op, bakers, fish & chip shop, several pubs, cafes, post office and a couple of ATMs. There are lovely local walks to do and the cottage is a short drive from Sennen Cove. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return next year! Thanks Ali!

Cosy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The property was very well thought out and we totally enjoyed our stay there.

Nice garden out the back, and convent parking out the front.

Very well situated for walks to the coastal paths, so we didn't need to use the car on those days.

Lovely little house very close to the centre overlooking fields

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week and had a lovely holiday, Ali welcomed us when we arrived and made sure the house was ready even though we were early. The kids enjoyed the variety of board games , dvds and the quirky arty things in the house . The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. The garden was nice to sit in and enjoy a cup of tea. Parking is tricky but after a couple of goes , my husband got the hang of it.

Coastal walks, bus ride up to St ives were all very convenient .. the little gallery down the road sells lovely stuff and lots of eating places in the market square. I can definitely recommend this property to anyone.
