2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Lodge at Lake Windermere, Troutbeck Bridge, Windermere
Myself and my partner Anthony live in Preston with our 2 yorkies Freddie and Barney, we still both work full time, so unfortunately don,t get to spend as much time at the lodges as we would like, we can,t wait to retire then we can spend more time in the Lakes.
Kim purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Kim chose Windermere
We had 3 fab holidays at White Cross Bay, before we took the plunge and bought Lazy Days Lodge. We looked at quite a few but as soon as we walked into Lazy Days we knew this was the one.....its so bright and airy with a full wall of glass, and the fact it had the stream in front of it and the ducks were swimming away in front of the decking , we just fell in love with it and bought it the same day. 2years later Happy Days came up for sale.......this was different it was a project! The lodge was in a bit of a state but we saw the potential......so over the closed season we gutted it, and did a complete refurb, and the result is stunning. Happy Days is now a bright contempary style lodge lodge, very comfortable and everyone that stays loves it.
What makes this Cabin unique
Both of our lodges benefit from being very large, ideal for families or 2 couples. The decking areas on them both are some of the largest to be found on White Cross Bay, and we have quality outdoor furniture on them both. It is only a 3 minute walk to the lake from either lodge and a similar time to walk to reception and the leisure facilities. Whichever lodge you choose.....we guarantee you won,t be disappointed......some guests have stayed in both.....but can,t decide which they prefer!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This beautiful bright lodge is an absolute joy. The furnishings and fittings have the 'Wow' factor and everything you need for a perfect holiday is there. The property is well maintained and clean. The setting is beautiful with new decking to enjoy sunny days on the quality outdoor furniture but if the weather is poor there are TVs in the lounge and bedrooms plus DVDs, books and internal WiFi. There is a pool on site, a bar, restaurant and children's play area with reastaurants in nearby Windermere and Ambleside. All the attractions of the Lake District are easily reached from this lodge. we have been coming since 2013 and have already booked for next year.
Thanks for the fab review Jean, I look forward to welcoming you, the girls and Rosie back next year.
A wonderfully presented modern lodge nestled in woodland near to Windermere lake. Could not fault the property at all as it had everything you could possibly need to make our stay extremely comfortable. Will definitely be booking to stay again. Both my children & myself loved it.
Thanks Jean for taking the time to review your stay, and for all your lovely comments.
There is something special about the Lakes at Christmas, and the lodge I’m sure you found us a warm cosy place to spend it.
Hope to welcome you back in the future. Kim
First class lodge in a stunning location,Happiness to me is when it exceeds your expectations.Kim the owner as thought of everything to make your stay perfect and her customer service skills are second to none.iam more then happy to recommend this very well maintained ,home from home lodge.i will be visiting again!
Lazy Days Lodge was a great find for our family of four. We really were impressed! A really spacious and modern lodge, comfy and with everything you would need. Great outdoor space too which must be fabulous in the summer (we visited in autumn so less chance to do this). You have access to the holiday park's site amenities should you want them too but the lodge is positioned in a great, quiet cul-de-sac position. We'll be planning a return visit in warmer weather!
Thankyou Amy for taking the time to review your stay, I’m so pleased you loved the lodge, and hope to welcome you back when you next wish to visit the Lakes.
Luxury at Lazy Days
We have stayed at Happy Days before & thoroughly enjoyed it but this time we thought we would give Lazy Days a go. We absolutely loved it & had a fab time. It really is like having a beautiful home in the Lakes because it has everything you would ever need & more. Kim the owner is great helping with any queries & both Lodges are perfectly maintained.
The small stream at the side of the Lodge with all the resident Ducks gives a very tranquil feel to the stay & sitting on the decking area in the Sunshine was an absolute treat.
This was the first time we have enjoyed 4 days of sunshine which made the trip even better but we have also had amazing times in 4 days of rain.
We went to many different places on our break from Arnside to Keswick but we are going to have another trip to the Lodge & just chill & stay in the Lodge because it really is a fantastic place. We can't wait to book again!
Thanks Stuart for taking the time to review your stay, I,m pleased to hear you loved Lazy Days as much as Happy Days........I will be interested to see which one you book for your next stay.
The Lakes is even better with a bit of sunshine isn’t it ?
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lazy days lodge.
The lodge is stunning, the nicest we have ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable, the living area was great, the kitchen was well equipt and the decking was huge, with plenty of seating. We would love to come back in summer.
We were lucky to get good weather but this lodge was so fab it was a shame to go out.
The lodge was in a great location on the park. It was a short walking distance to the facilities yet in a secluded and spacious spot. It was lovely to hear the stream bubbling away outside.
I would certainly recommend Lazy days lodge and hope to return soon.
Thankyou for taking the time to review your stay and for your great comments........I really hope to hear from you again when you next wish to visit the Lakes.
