Claire and Lawrence live just a few miles away in St Ives with their daughter and 2 year old cockapoo Monty. "We love living in Cornwall and bringing up our daughter in such a beautiful and peaceful place and have enjoyed designing, renovating and building our own home from a dairy barn and piggery overlooking St Ives Bay as well as our more recent project in Mousehole." Claire looks after both of their cottages in St Ives and Mouse hole herself whilst Lawrence works as a Lawyer (when he is not lovingly tending their garden and outside areas)!

Why CLAIRE FORD chose South West Cornwall

We fell in love with this property when looking for our second renovation project in West Cornwall. Mousehole is one of the most special Cornish coastal villages in the county, rich in heritage, strong in community and renowned for its beautiful harbour, the mousehole lights, one black cat and star gazey pie! When we saw this unique 3 storey grade 2 listed pilchard cottage just minutes from the harbour we knew we had found something then we discovered the 180-degree harbour side view from the balcony at the top of the stairs and the sight of the sea over those quaint old town roofs was a sight we knew we wanted to share with future hope you agree!

Just yards from the seafront, The Bird House is tucked away from the bustle of the Main Street, and yet is within skipping distance of all that this little Cornish town has to offer.

Outside: The quintessential walled sitting area directly outside of the back door is perfectly positioned to catch the early morning sun with a freshly brewed cup of coffee, or the the last rays of summer evening with a chilled bottle of white. Passion flowers and leafy foliage provide a backdrop to a rare outside space in the middle of the labyrinth of cottages and net lofts.

Terms & Conditions
A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking.
The balance of your booking is due 60 days before your arrival date.
No pets are allowed anywhere in the holiday accommodation.
No smoking is allowed anywhere in the holiday accommodation.
The number of persons occupying the holiday accommodation shall not exceed the numbers of the party stated on the booking form which is 2 adults and 1 infant (babe in arms) unless agreed separately with Owner.
The holidaymaker shall not sublet the holiday accommodation or any part thereof during their period of stay.
The holidaymaker is liable for the total hire charge unless written notice of the intention to cancel the booking is received 60 days before the commencement of the holiday. It is recommended guests take out their own travel insurance to cover cancellations.
Arrangements will be made by the owner for the handover of house keys to The holidaymaker at the beginning of The Period of Hire and the collection of the keys on the departure date.
The holidaymaker shall leave the holiday accommodation in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the holiday let.
Any faults or breakages must be reported as soon as possible to the management.
The owner and their representatives retain the right to enter the holiday accommodation at any time.
