About Helen Cecil
My husband and I purchased the property with the idea of converting the outbuildings from there original purpose to cottages. This has been along process but we have now finished, and ready for there new occupation.
Helen Cecil purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Helen Cecil chose Johnston
The property is ideal for access to the wonderful and varies coastline of Pembrokeshire. The north being rocky and rugged with many small coves and wonderful coastal walks. The south being softer with many sandy havens and large sandy bays. As well the rough mountain terrain of the Preselis. All these are within easy reach from the property, either by car or using public transport which will then connect to the coastal shuttle bus that runs along the coastal roads.
What makes this Cottage unique
Popevilla cottages are two holiday cottages with an open plan dining/living area with a well equipped kitchen, lounge with TV .From the living area are two double rooms with either a king size bed or a twin bedded room, the bathroom consists of a large walkin shower, basin and wc.The is a grassed area to the back of the cottages with outdoor furniture over looking the fields. Both properties benefit from underfloor heating.

Lovely, well equipped self-contained cottage
Lovely cottage, close to main road but we didn't hear traffic noises. Equipped with everything we needed including a small garden.
Nice touch was local produce - eggs, milk bread and preserves, waiting for us on arrival.
Good location, close enough to town and nearby attractions.
Can recommend The Glen for food which seemed to be the nearest pub.
Would definitely stay again
Thank you for the lovely review.
All local produce available either from the proprietor or from the local farmers market.
Some good some bad
First thing - "headline" property details state 2 beds 2 baths which is what we wanted for 4 adults. WRONG. Only 1 bathroom. On questioning owners they blamed website. Second thing - details give the impression the property is in a nice little village. WRONG. It's off a layby on a busy main road which is about 30-40 ft away from the bedroom window. Don't worry though the traffic stops at about midnight.
Accommodation not bad otherwise - Welsh Cakes bread and home made jam on arrival. Bedrooms a decent size but mattress far too soft for my taste. Main room a bit snug containing kitchen, settees, and table. All clean through.
Plenty of towels, crockery etc etc.
Next time I'll check fine details by looking on Google Earth and not assume website is correct about facilities.
Lovely well laid out roomy cottage. Warm welcome from Owners who provided great knowledge of the area. Thoroughly recommend for walkers, fishing & sight seeing.
The cottage my partner and I stayed in was comfy warm and very homely, Loved the wet room. In a good location lots of places to visit nearby. We had a great day and would definately come back.
