About Mrs Jane Brisker-Jones and Mr Lee Jones

My Husband and I lived in Staffordshire until July 2016 when we made the decision the move to France for good, so we now live next door and will be on hand if need be, it has always been our dream to live here and hopefully any visitors will enjoy it as we do. We have bought our dog and cat with us and we have our growing family over when they can. We hope to have many happy years here and look forward to welcoming our holiday guests.

Mrs Jane Brisker-Jones and Mr Lee Jones purchased this farmhouse in 2005

Why Mrs Jane Brisker-Jones and Mr Lee Jones chose Neuvy-Bouin

We purchased the house for our parents to spend most of their retirement in and for our future retirement, the area is so quiet and relaxing, we always felt fully recharged when it was time to go back to England, but now we just enjoy our life here. Its not to far from all the facilities and amenities you need and the few neighbours in the Hamlet are really friendly.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Home from Home comfort, plenty of outdoor space in the quarter acre lawned garden with the new for 2017 6 x 4 metre swimming pool and south facing front patio where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and evening meal with a glass of wine if you choose to do so.

It is very well located to be away from the hustle and bustle of busy cities, but close enough to the many towns and cities for the historic sites, shops etc. and only 1hr 15 minute drive to the beach.

Plenty of walks or cycle rides, (mountain bikes available) A large fishing lake only 6kms into Secondigny. La Nombril du Monde, heritage site is only 3km from here which has many festivals through the summer season. There are plenty golf courses, the nearest is approx. 15km from the house and of course the theme parks of Puy Du Fou and Futurescope.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Mr & Mrs Jukes; June 2014, This house is so comfortable as soon as we walked through the door we felt ourselves relax, there was everything we could possibly have needed and more, the bedding was exceptionally clean and fresh and ready to get into with plenty of fresh towels on arrival, you have made every effort to ensure our stay here is comfortable and it certainly was, even to the welcome pack on arrival. It is well situated for getting out and about, if we just wanted to relax and read, then we could but, we love to see France and was not disappointed we just jumped in our car explored. We will definitely be going again.

Mr & Mrs Pinches; Aug 2014, As soon as we opened the door we had that lovely relaxing feeling, there is so much character in the house, but with everything we needed, including the local cat and the 4 cows in the back field. Only having one week here was not long enough for us to go out much, but on the occasions we did we found some wonderful places of interest with so much history and fab restaurants. The mobile butcher and baker are a novelty but so handy, fresh French bread, delicious! We felt so relaxed here because of what you have done and have to offer we will definitely be coming back and recommending it to our friends.

Mr & Mrs M; Aug 2014; An exceptionally comfortable house, home from home, you have ensured that what ever you need in a home is catered for and more, the welcome pack was most certainly that, catering for Me, my wife and the girls, thank you. We had a few cloudy days but, we could play on the PlayStation, read or play games, and the T.V was great to have for the evenings. We found some great places of interest and had some lovely days out only to come back to a fantastic base, this made our holiday so much more a pleasure, we will be recommending it to our friends and family.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is aimed at making you feel welcome and relaxed, with this in mind we have furnished it as our home. Although the house does not have central heating, electric oil heaters are provided should you need them. As the property is very old there are some low beams, sloping roofs and small doorways. It is surrounded by fields and there is a working farm close by, so you will have regular visits from the cows over the fence. There is a mobile butcher and baker who visit once a week who sell excellent fresh produce. Outside: To the rear there is a quarter acre garden which is mostly lawn, and a swimming pool, a few fruit trees and ample off road parking, to the front there is a patio area which is south facing, so sunshine from morning to evening, outdoor furniture is provided along with a barbecue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towel's are provided and the property is cleaned for your arrival, if you need more bedding or towel's then they can be provided at an extra cost, there is also an option to pay for an end of holiday clean
