Very clean and well equipped lodge in a beautiful and peaceful spot with stunning morning views

  • 5 of 5

This lodge was exactly what was described and more, can not fault it the hot tub was a delight after a day of exploring as you do need to travel abit to see things but still plenty todo within a 45min drive, with the open plan and big glass doors and windows the views in the morning are stunning and a great way to start the day.

The lakes are a hidden gem for any keen carp angler lots of action all day and some great clean fighting fish biggest I had was 20lb, communication with Richard was always available leading up to stay even tho not needed while there as everything is covered before would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly be going back in the future,

Thanks for a great holiday.

Lovely Quiet and Peaceful Lodge

  • 4 of 5

As an amateur photographer I wanted easy access to both coast and Exmoor. This did the job. The lodge itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was something I particularly look forward to when on holiday. I find 2 bathrooms are a must when using the hot tub otherwise one person freezes while the other showers. No problem at Lodge 41. Plenty of towels too which isn't always the case. Totally enjoyed my break here and would use again.

Simply stunning - perfect for a quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had the weather with us for this short stay, but even without it, the facilities at this lodge are perfect.

It was spotless, all the instructions were bob on, great communication and each detail has been thought about.

Will definitely be returning for more.

The location is the middle of nowhere, the lodge is tucked out of the way... the views are stunning.

A short 10 minute drive and we were exploring local beaches and waterfalls.

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this lovely lodge with a few friends and had an amazing time. When I first stepped in to the cabin it was so cute and exactly what we needed. It was all so clean. It's obvious that the owners put alot of care into the cabin. Loved the extra touch of an xbox with the tv and a few games and dvd's to go with it. Hot-tub was amazing. Definitely worth going just for that and it was in such a secluded area that I didn't feel overlook by anyone. Owner was always available by phone if we had any questions or queries. I went with friends this time and would definitely go again with friends and might go with just my boyfriend as well as it serves well as a romantic getaway (champagne in the hot tub is a must) I've already recommended to my family and work colleagues who love the sound of it. Went to Bude for the day which is lovely. There's a swimming pool at the beach if you didn't want to go in the sea which seemed cool. Few nices pubs and restaurants about.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Lodge and am definitely hoping to come again and would recommend it to different group types: family, friends, couples. :)

Lovely, peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

Brilliant place to stay. The lodge was in an excellent location with great views across the countryside. Visit the farm across the field for free range eggs - a great walk too.

There was plenty of room inside the lodge which was clean and had everything you needed. The boys loved the Xbox, playing cards and Trivial pursuit as well as the hot tub.

From my initial enquiry until our departure the owner was very helpful and was contactable by email and phone always replying quickly.

I would recommend a visit to Sandymouth beach and Bude beaches - both great for catching the waves. We also visited The Ultimate Adventure where the boys took part in the ultimate assault and the high ropes - a scary but great day out. A visit to Hartland quay kept us busy too with rock climbing rewarded with a cream tea at The Hoops inn on the road to Bideford. Definitely recommend.

But the best thing was relaxing in the hot tub in the evening 😀

Will definitely be back.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a really, really lovely holiday at this gorgeous holiday home. Unusually for a holiday rental, it is much nicer than it appears in the photos. Everything was clean, tidy, well maintained and there was everything we needed - including enough space - for our family of five. The views across the fields are lovely, and it was wonderful to wake to the sound of birdsong. The hot tub was a treat that we all enjoyed and our sons were thrilled with the x box. The weather wasn't the best but we still found plenty to do in the area, mike wakeboarding, surfing, rock pooling, and loved coming back to relax. We had such a great time and are hoping to book again for next year.
