Why Claire Ashley chose Wiltshire
We have lived on The Green in Aldbourne for 14 years, and the addition of The Coach House has enabled us to offer guest accommodation. Aldbourne is a fantastic place to visit, whether for walking, riding, golf, crop circle spotting or visiting friends and family in the village. It is also an excellent base for cycling. It's only 10 minutes from the M4 and yet the Ridgeway path is on our door step with miles of uninterrupted countryside.

The Coach House is located in the centre of Aldbourne, so has the ease of being a few minutes walk from all the facilities. We are just moments away from the church, post office, village green and pond... The Coach House offers comfortable and stylish accommodation right in the heart of Aldbourne.

Tidy, lovely and tranquil
This stay was outstanding in the ways that are important to me. My work and personal travel have taken me to many places around the world, over the years, and my standards are high. Clean and orderly is an understatement. What a pleasure to stay in a place where the owner has thought of everything. The flat was done beautifully-so tasteful-clearly by someone with an eye for detail. Green cleaning products were much appreciated. It was the most peaceful stay I have had in years. Thank you!

Beautiful & functional suite
I stayed here for three nights to take advantage of it's close proximity to the RIAT (2016) and I absolutely loved every minute of my stay. It was clean, modern and quiet. Not only was the apartment excellent, but the town of Aldbourne has some amazing charm as well. Claire was very friendly and helpful as well. She met me at the front door to give me the keys and a quick tour. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended.
We've just returned from a wonderful 3 nights at The Coach House in Aldbourne. The apartment was everything we'd hoped for and more - beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The owner, Claire, gave us a very warm welcome, and it's clear she really cares about her guests. Aldbourne itself was a great base - small enough to have a picturesque village vibe but large enough to squeeze in 2 pubs, a post office and Co-Op. Plenty of great walking/running routes in the area. Highly recommended!

Travel: Nearest airport is Heathrow, London - 1 hour. Bristol airport is just over 1 hour away. Aldbourne has bus links to Hungerford, Marlborough and Swindon, although a car is advised for your convenience. Distances: Marlborough is approx. 8 miles away and is a market town. Hungerford is approx. 7 miles away and has the Kennet canal. The ancient Ridgeway byways are within easy distance and offer miles of walking opportunities. Within 1 hour are, Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Oxford, Salisbury. Avebury is approx. 25 minutes drive away. Further Details: Aldbourne Post Office and stores are a 2 minute walk away. Within 5 minutes walk are 2 village pubs, The Co-operative convenience store, The Dabchick Indian takeway. Marlborough offers several independent restaurants and cafes as well as popular chains such as Pizza Express. Marlborough also has supermarkets (Waitrose, Tescos), Banks (HSBC, Nationwide, Lloyds, Barclays, NatWest).

Booking Notes: Once you have received confirmation of availability and confirmed that you would like to place a booking, a deposit invoice for 50% will be sent. Once the deposit payment has been received the booking is confirmed. If the deposit payment is not received within 48 hours the booking is not confirmed. Balance payments will be due 4 weeks prior to arrival. If booking closer to the arrival date all deposit and balance payments must be made prior to the commencement of the holiday. Changeover Day: Flexible change over day. Timings are ideally arrival from 4pm and departure by 11am, but flexible on request. Any breakages and damage must be paid for in full. Please advice prior to departure if you need to settle for any breakages or damage. Any damage found after you have departed will be recovered by Owners Direct. Please respect that we do not charge a security deposit in advance, but expect you to report and pay replacement costs of any breakages or damage.
