5 STAR Luxury Apartment With Amazing Views of The Gannel Estuary and Crantock Beach and only a 5 minute walk to Fistral Beach. The Tower Corisande Manor is a breath-taking luxury self-catering apartment idyllically situated a stones throw from the Gannel Estuary and commanding wonderful scenic views across Crantock Beach and out to sea. Master bedroom (double) en-suite, tower room (double) leading to top tower room (2 single 3ft beds). Relax and unwind in this contemporary coastal home with a sophisticated nod to the ´nautical´. The interiors are stylish yet kept simple to maximise those breath-taking views which provide the lust-worthy backdrop to each and every room, all of which have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Welcome to our little piece of heaven, we would love others to experience this beautiful and unique apartment as we did before making the big decision to buy. The breathtaking views can be absorbed from all rooms, with two of the most amazing beaches, Crantock and Fistral and the Gannel Estuary. The cliff walks are among the best in the country with plenty of superb pubs and restaurants en-route and a photographers dream. Surfing is great with the world championships taking place on Fistral just a 4 minute walk from The Manor. There is a walkway through the communal gardens down to the Gannel Estuary ideal if paddle boarding or kyaking interests you. Rest after all your activities, you have a Hypnos bed to reset your weary soul for tomorrows next adventure. All in all its got the lot, and is the reason Jason and Sue were repeatedly drawn back to Crantock and Pentire, eventually purchasing The Tower. Our aim from the start, is to have things the way we hope they will be when we arrive on holiday. After all it is our holiday choice too.

All bedrooms are fully equipped to a high level and we have tried to cover everything we think you would want on your luxury break, from hair dryers, extra bedding to battery night lights. Large TV in main bedroom with smaller TV in Tower room. The kitchen has high end appliances which include double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, wine cooler, large fridge freezer and microwave and most items for the more experienced chefs out there with 6 full place settings.The washer/dryer is positioned on the main landing with hoover, ironing equipment etc in kitchen. Lounge has a 50"TV with DVD player and seats 6 for dinner. Hallway has mp3 player which is loud enough to cover the apartment. A mention is needed about the stairs, which are easily negotiated for the moderately active but maybe unsuitable for toddlers and the less agile. Although it must be said once in the apartment the views and accommodation make it all worth while. Apologies but no pets as the apartment is really not suitable. This is also a non smoking property. The history of Corisande Manor. Corisande is apparently Norman in origin, meaning "flower of the heart" a mansion built for an Austrian Count in 1895.The architecture certainly resembles a German gothic "castle as on the Rhine". The original owner, I believe, owned it until 1914. The story is that the building was named after a ship the original owner sailed in. It would then appear that the Austrian owner had to sell in 1914 because of anti-German feeling whipped up as a result of World War I. It was bought in 1914 or 1915 by Thomas Edward Grindon. He apparently bought it to make it into a hotel, but never achieved this ambition. He paid £1000 for the property and spent £900 on making changes to it. He built the tennis court in 1917, but was ripped off by the local builders. He was 30 when he was conscripted in 1917, and died in France soon afterwards in September 1917. His widow was left penniless and had to sell the Manor. It has a host of interesting original features, like the ceiling made from the timbers of a 300 year old Spanish schooner sunk in the bay.

About Sue Rule

Sue and Jason, we recently purchased the tower after falling in love with it having been looking for some time. We are both constantly drawn to the sea Cornwall/ Devon Being our favourite UK destinations when travelling in our motorhome. We were particularly looking for south facing as so many of the places we looked at spent all the day in the shade.

Why Sue Rule chose St Ives area

If it's all about location, the Tower has to be pretty well as good as it gets. With two of the best beaches in Cornwall minutes from your doorstep along with great restaurants and coastal walks boredom is not an option even for the most restless of us. Sun on the recently expanded balcony from sunrise almost to sunset which is quite rare on the coast. Also a balcony has been installed to the tower room with probably the best view on the Pentire Peninsular.

What makes this apartment unique

All the guests talk about the views from property which regularly stop you in your tracks and send you into some sort of hypnotic trance. Whether it's the curling waves on Crantock beach or the surreal turquoise colour of the water in the Gannel which I'm led to believe comes from the type of sand in this area. The garden is a great place to picnic with a storage shed, and outdoor shower if you get back a little sandy. Although there are many one of our favourite restaurant/pub to walk to is Lewinnick Lodge built in the side of a cliff with super view out to sea roughly 10 minutes walk. We have recently expanded the main balcony to the lounge/dinner and installed a 4 meter bifold door. This means the Lounge-Diiner can be opened out straight onto the most amazing sea views. We cannot say how wonderful dining on the balcony is as its so new we haven't had a chance yet to try it yet but it was great even at a quarter of it's new size.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the Tower and I have to say it was amazing! We stayed with our two children (aged 8 and 5) and my mum, so 5 of us in total.

I literally cannot fault anything, everything we needed (and things we didn't even know we needed) are provided and the standard of the accommodation is very high.

The views from every room in the place are breath taking and I have never enjoyed washing up so much, as the view from kitchen window was a particular favourite of mine! There was a dishwasher but we didn't use it as even washing up wasn't a chore with those views!

Also have to mention the amazing balcony off the lounge area, great for breakfasts and evening drinks!

Yes there are a lot of steps up to the rooms, but these just meant we could enjoy all the cream teas guilt free!!! My Fitbit thought it had been stolen as I racked up so many steps this week!!! Mainly

from exploring the local area as Crantock beach and Fistral beach are so close we only used the car a couple of times!

Another favourite of the week was cycling the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow, hiring bikes for the day - well worth doing!

The Fern Pit cafe was our favourite place to have afternoon tea, and so close by!

We simply had the best time ever and can't thank Sue and Jason enough for creating such a beautiful place to stay.

Lovely Property and Location

The property is lovely, well looked after and has everything you need. The location is great, close to everything you might need but quiet and secluded with a lovely view and access to Crantock beach. It was just a few minutes walk to Fistral Beach where our kids went body boarding every day, and a stroll into Newquay. The owner Sue, was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. Recommend a walk to the Stables on Fistral for best pizza ever.

Fantastic Stay

I had a lovely stay at the tower! It is in an ideal place, being in walking distance to Newquay, various pubs and restaurants and also has the most amazing views over Crantock beach and the Gannel. Every room has an amazing view and is very modern and well decorated. The owners are lovely and are very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing accommodation & fabulous views!

We spent two weeks in this fantastic 3 level apartment - the first week with friends, who were similarly amazed by it, & the second week with family & 'only just 4' year old grandson, who loved it.

The apartment lacked nothing - it was particularly well appointed in all areas - kitchen; bathrooms; bedrooms & family space; was more than comfortable & beautifully furnished; had staggering views & I could live there myself!

Newquay is a terrific centre: there are lots of interesting places to visit - all within easy reach - & the south coast is only a matter of an hour away.

The only drawback was the apartment starts on the 3rd level, so there are numerous stairs to climb. However, it's a good way to keep fit!

I would recommend this beautiful & luxurious apartment to anyone.

Great accommodation, beautifully located.

Great accomodation, carefully renovated, very clean and well equipped with a beautiful view over the wonderful garden, the Gannel river and Crantock beach.

My family enjoyed great holidays in Cornwall and this was mainly driven by this exceptional appartement.

Next stay in Cornwall will definitely be in The Tower again!

Having stopped around the Newquay area over the last 6yrs in some of the most highly recommended properties, The Tower is by far the best.....

The Tower is beautifully designed with high spec decor and furnishings, its views are breathtaking from every room and a wonderful garden that takes you down to the River Gannel. This apartment that catered for our family (2adults 4children) ticked all the boxes....

Crantock Beach.

Is the closest of the two beaches. It is a beautiful U shaped sandy beach backed by high sand dunes and cliffs, ideal for families. Out to sea there is a small picturesque island and waves to bring a smile to body boarders and surfers alike. If you prefer paddleboading or kayaking the Gannel offers around 3 miles of calmer flowing water. Fistral Beach is approximately 4 min walk from The Tower and hosts The World Surf Championships.


Newquay Airport is only 7 miles away


For surfers, Fistral beach is only a 4 min walk With Newquay Town is a 20 min walk

For foodies Rick Steins Padstow is a 30 min drive

Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are both around a 30 min drive and the picturesque towns of St Ives, St Agnes and Perranporth are well worth a visit.

For walkers you can access The South West Coastal Path across The Gannel Estuary via the tidal footbridge and enjoy the spectacular views of Crantock, Joke and Holywell.

Introduction: Sue my wife, who is a big F1 fan and enjoys walking, zumba and gardening, puts most of her energy into keeping Tom, our son, and myself in order. I'm Jason and into classic cars, motorcycles, paddleboarding and photography and camping.

Our common interest is touring in our motorhome in which have managed to cover most of the south west coast.

Crantock and Pentire have always been our personal favourite and since being introduced to the area by friends, we always seemed to be drawn back.

It was inevitable when the Tower came up for sale that we should at least take a look. Fortunately or unfortunately for our bank balance we both fell in love with it and couldn't let it slip through our fingers.
