About the property

3-bdrm 3-bath Hunting Lodge with charm on 30 hectares of private property

Berritta, located on a 30-hectare private property, is an original basalt stone hunting lodge once part of the 15th century feudal property belonging to the Barons of the area. Berritta has been meticulously restored to offer charming accommodations: 2 double bedrooms each with its own beautiful en suite marble baths.Upstairs is a low-ceiling, cozy loft with 3 single beds and 1 marble bath. The bamboo and chestnut ceilings are in the original Sardinia style. The spacious living room has a fireplace, tasteful antique furnishings, a full kitchen and dining area, and spectacular views of the property. In front of the lodge is a basalt stone terrace with teak dining table. In the back there is a garden area with lounge chairs and an enclosed laundry area. Berritta is perfect for getting away from it all even off-season while offering close proximity to the beach and the center of town. Great for beach swimming until late Oct - outdoor activities all year around.

Several low-cost airlines have regular flights to the main Sardinian airports (Olbia, Alghero and Cagliari), including EasyJet, Ryanair, AirBerlin, TuiFly, Meridiana, Transavia. Low-cost car rentals can be found at the airports (e.g., www.rent.it)

Why Stefano chose Nuoro

This property has been in my family for generations, and after being abandoned for several years, I lovely restored it.

What makes this villa unique

This property is really unique because : (a) Location: While very close to town and to the beaches, it offers unparalleled seclusion and privacy. Please see the video one of our guest made while staying in Berritta. You can see how large the property by watching our video; (b) Beauty: It is an original basalt stone lodge, with wood beans and bamboo ceilings, typical of the area.

Ruhiges und gemütliches Landhaus

  • 5 of 5

Also bloß keinen Wein im Supermarkt kaufen!

We had a wonderful time in your house and we really recommend it!

Thank you Stefano!

Wundervolles Beritta

  • 5 of 5

Lovely rural retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at Berrita in late October. The house was just as it appears on the website, if not better. Its been renovated and furnished very stylishly with exposed beams and stonework. It's secluded location and rural ambience offers a great contrast to the usual holiday villa. The living room area is particularly comfortable and great for relaxing. However, if you want to do a lot of cooking, you may find the kitchen area a bit limited.

Stefano was very welcoming and responded quickly to all our questions before the holiday and there is good information at the house about local restaurants etc. Its a shame that its a bit too too far to walk to town but that's the price for being quiet and secluded. There's lots to do locally - the nearest beaches are around 10 minutes drive and the best ones are about 30 minutes away. The mountains too are within easy reach and have great walking and views. We would definitely recommend this property as a unique and relaxing base for exploring this beautiful part of Sardinia.

Outstanding

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a house with taste and character and quite comfortable in the Orosei area. This is extraordinary difficult for any reason ...and we discovered Berritta, such a little gem. The house offers all the amenities you can expect whilst being really attractive: old stones and masonry, beams, wood everywhere, and all that charm that make you imediately feel at home. The location is ideal, in one of the less developed region of Sardegna: situated away from the main local road (a few minutes drive on a track), away from it all and so peaceful, it is close to the some of the best unspoilt beaches that you can enjoy on the island. Also, moutains are closed by, offering nice opportunities to walk and get some fresh air in summer and enjoy magnificent views. Orosei, the nearest local town, is a 5 minutes drive away, offering all you can look for. We would strongly recommend Berritta, and certainly will want to come back.

The house was lovely, secluded and very peaceful. Ideally located for exploration of the beaches and mountains. It was very well maintained both inside and out and the owner was extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
