It provided everything we could ask for.
The bungalow is set in quiet and attractive surroundings. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. A most enjoyable stay.
Our guests were lovely. Unfailingly courteous and friendly they left the house spotless. We would love to welcome them back to Meadowcroft Lodge.
More like a real home than a holiday let
We booked this property because it was close to Devizes and the start of the Wiltshire half of the Wessex Ridgeway. We walked from Marlborough through the Avebury Ring to Devizes over a couple of days and would have continued but the mini "Beast from the East" blew in. It was great to return to this lovely warm home each evening. Nice big kitchen/dining area to cook in and sit around chatting.
This is a perfect base which is conveniently situated for Devizes. The owners are helpful, friendly yet unobtrusive. The bungalow is well equipped and comfortable. The walk up by the Caen locks was beautiful. Leo the dog is so welcoming and happy to meet new people. I shall be going back.
Thank you! We look forward to having you back! Leo will be waiting!
Lovely house and surroundings
This house is cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well equiped. Nice bedrooms and a sunny terrace. You can make beautiful trips by foot or cycle along te Kenneth & Avon Canal en the locks. This is a 5 minute walk from the house. We loved it and the owners are very kind and friendly. Perfect place to stay.
Thank you! It was lovely to meet you both. Despite the British weather and car troubles you managed to enjoy exploring the area.
Peaceful, delightful rural retreat that is worth another visit
The photos of this bungalow and garden do not do it justice, it's a wonderful location with a comfortable, well furnished home from home.
We choose to spend time here because both of us had previously lived in the country and were eagerly anticipating being in a similar environment as we had previously experienced when we became friends.
Julia and her husband provided us with all the information we could possibly need before arrival and. in addition to their useful information pack, gave us an update on what was available during our stay and would suit us as individuals.
If I can escape from work, I'll be back here again.
Thank you for your lovely review. We look forward to welcoming you both back again
