|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Nestled into the northern Tuscan hills in the hilltop village of Vellano, Casa Piccolina is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Casa Piccolina is a fully renovated self contained 1 bedroom medieval stone terrace house set near the walls of the mountain village of Vellano looking out onto the Tuscan hills covered in chestnut and olive trees. The cottage is set on 3 levels with a fully equipped kitchen at ground level, a fireplace in the living room - for cosy evenings during change of seasons - on the middle level and the bedroom and bathroom on the top level. All linen is provided.
Casa Piccolina's owners reside in Australia but they try to visit Tuscany as often as they can. Michelle, the Property Manager, is English and lives with her Italian husband in Vellano. She takes loving care of Casa Piccolina on the owner's behalf.
Michelle Marino purchased this cottage in 2008
When the owners bought Casa Piccolina they could see the potential of this beautiful little medieval stone terrace house, although in a very dilapidated condition - no windows, no water or electricity and no bathroom with floors badly needing repair. It was a joy to see the little cottage blossom during the renovation and be a part of its transformation.
The owners enjoy the Village atmosphere of Vellano and the spectacular views over the valley.
The stay in Vellano was great fun. Everyone had a fantastic time. Michelle and her husband (as hosts) are lovely people and really made us feel welcome in the Village. They gave lots of suggestions and we visited so many places - both near and afar.
