A beautiful property, perfect for those seeking peace & tranquility

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully maintained property. We are a family of four & we had ample space indoors & out. The large kitchen & dining area is a lovely space & the garden & hot tub are lovely, peaceful places to be.

Very modern and very well kept

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was very nice

It was all you could have wanted. Very well equipped. Plus excellent hot tub. We had to cut our week short as i had nasty fall.in exeter and fractured my foot. But other than that it was great. The owners were friendly. One thing let it down for us with a teenager with us was the lack of wifi. So if you need wifi. Dont rely on this cottage.

Charming and well equipped family hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the comfort and tranquility of this charming cottage style hideaway. All mod-cons inside, our three boys were able to spread out and enjoy the garden and we had a very chilled week. Plenty of local amenities and National Trust (Dunster Castle, Knightshayes & Killerton) venues just 30-45 mins drive away, plus recommend Sidmouth beach. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and the hamper on arrival was a lovely surprise. Certainly recommended, great value and would stay here again.

Stunning modern warm cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 and stayed at this lovely cottage over Christmas. What a perfect spot for a week away from London - the cottage is modern with three large double en-suite bedrooms and underfloor heating throughout the open plan ground floor area. The owners are so nice and had, unexpectedly, set up a Christmas tree before our arrival plus a welcome pack full of goodies. The house was perfect for our 3 young boys with a large open plan area downstairs, a field outside for playing football and a hot tub (one of the main reasons for choosing this property!). Even in winter the area is stunning, but must be even more amazing any other time of the year. The local pub at the end of the driveway is fantastic serving great food - we ate here a few times and can highly recommend it. There's lots of walks in the local area and within a 45 min drive you can get to either the South or North Devon Coast. There's a lot of great cycling in the area - we rode along the Grand Western Canal from Tiverton Parkway to Tiverton with the kids which is an easy ride for all ages and stunning scenery. It's also within reach of the Cheddar Gorge and Wells (a visit to the cathedral is a must see). The town of Beer on the south coast was also worth a visit. A slightly further day trip to Saunton Sands is worth the effort with its huge sand dunes and probably the highlight of our holiday (apart from the hot tub!).

There's lots of good local amenities with the town of Wellington only 10 minutes away - even the petrol station has a large Budgens with everything you need, including a Cook frozen meals fridge, which was handy over the Christmas period.

I can highly recommend this house and the local area. Thank you Nick and Deborah for making it a perfect Christmas break for us!
