Jardines de Tolox is a small development of just 18 townhouses designed to blend in with the town of Tolox and its surrounding countryside. They are located on the edge of town near the Fuente Amargosa Health Spa and close to the entrance of the Sierra Las Nieves natural park. On the ground floor of the house is a kitchen, guest WC, living room with fireplace and doors to the private garden and swimming pool. A traditional staircase takes you to the first floor. There are two twin bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and on the top floor is a master bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom. There is access from the top floor to a large solarium / terrace with fantastic views. The property is finished to a high standard and is equipped with air-conditioning, electric heating and TV.
Great villa, well laid out with everything you could need.
The town of Tolox is beautiful and the villa has an amazing view of it all.
Will definitely be back.
Great holiday, the property was clean, well equipped, nice environment, can't say any negative
Everything you need plus a great pool , set in a proper Spainish village.
The property was perfect in which it was clean and spacious. The surrounding area of Tolox is stunning and the local people so friendly. I would recommend hiring a car as the location is pretty remote. Graham was very helpful and i would definitely stay at this property again.
My partner & I enjoyed an 11 day stay in Tolox in May this year.
The descriptions of the villa and its facilities are accurate whilst the villa itself was clean, well presented and very well situated - easy, short walking distance to local bars, shops and restaurants yet in a quiet area affording peace & quiet in the evening. Directions to the villa provided by the owner gave us no problems and we were "on holiday proper" within a 45 minute drive from Malaga airport.
The only problem we had was leaving Tolox - for the first time ever Diane came out with "We'll have to move to Spain", although I think the fact the it was 8 degrees and raining at Newcastle when we got back may have something to do with that.
Whilst the locals in other places we've stayed in (Lanjaron & Velez de Benaudalla, further east of Malaga) were friendly I think the Tolox folk top the lot. The village really does have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and Diane & I felt very much at home. Also, given that the temperature hit 38 degrees before we left the fact that the house is lovely and cool inside was very welcome at times.
We both look forward to returning to stay in this lovely villa and spend time in Tolox soon.
Tolox is a traditional Spanish town which lies beneath the Sierra Nieves Mountains. It is approximately 30 minutes from Malaga airport and 20 minutes from Alhaurin el Grande. The village of Tolox is renowned for its “Balneario de Fuente Amarga” spa, which was declared for public use in 1871 due to its therapeutic properties. The area is one of natural beauty and a place to relax, unwind and escape city life. Less than an hour inland from the coastal resort towns of Marbella and Malaga the town of Tolox remains traditional and relatively untouched by modern stresses and strains. Its white washed houses and exteriors decorated with flowers have won the town prizes for it beauty on several occasions.
Tolox is overlooked by the Cerro de Hijar hotel which is perched high on the mountain above the spa and looking out on the vast rolling countryside below. The hotel offers exquisite on-site cuisine or just a cup of tea which you can enjoy whilst taking in the spectacular views.
