Why Wendy Malone chose Lossiemouth

It is very quite and secluded, yet in the midst of Lossiemouth near all the amenities. No need to use your car if you want to go out for a meal etc. Just a couple of minutes walk to East Beach, lovely coastal walks or you can just sit and look over the Moray Firth and enjoy one of Mieles scrumptious ice creams. Enjoy.

Comfortable accommodations in a charming location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spend four nights in Lossiemouth, and we had a wonderful stay in this apartment just steps from the waterfront. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the living room was a perfect place to unwind after a day out. Lossie is a quiet town that has some very good restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment, as well as an interesting museum, a good food market, and a lovely beach -- and the nearby villages on the Moray Firth offer great day trips. Wendy was a very accommodating and responsive host. We would love to return someday...and if we do, we would be happy staying here again.

The cottage was delightful.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage had everything we needed to make our week away very relaxing. Wendy had very kindly provided us with some groceries, bread, milk, tea, coffee, etc. as our flight was delayed and we arrived 2 days late due to poor weather conditions.

The cottage location was perfect. We enjoyed some lovely walks around Lossiemouth, and visited many of the pretty fishing coves and beaches along the coast.

The ice cream parlour just a few steps from the door, was a great option for dessert.

We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay in this area of Scotland

Beautifully renovated cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a few days in the cottage last week and were so impressed and pleased with the property. It has been beautifully renovated, but sympathetically so that it very much retains its original character. Well equipped, very clean and tidy and with a very generous welcome pack provided by Wendy. The cottage has a very attractive little walled garden, so feels very tranquil and peaceful. Very conveniently located within yards of Lossiemouth's amenities, and the quite stunning beach. Very highly recommended. We hope to get back.

Moray is known the world as Whisky country but there is much more to the area than just whisky. The Whisky Trail is the world's only trail devoted to single malt whisky and with over 50% of Scotland's malt whisky distilleries within 28 miles you won't be disappointed.

The Moray Firth has quiet, sandy beaches where you can watch dolphins. Activities in Moray for tourists include fly fishing, golf, walking and mountain biking. There are many tourist attractions in the area. Spend a few hours visiting a distillery, Explore castles, museums and Pictish Stones.

You can also choose from such activities as horse riding, mountain biking, walking, field sports, hiking, hill walking, climbing and sailing,

Lossiemouth is lucky enough to have 2 beaches and a marina. There was once a railway between Lossiemouth and Elgin and the dunes in Lossie’s East Beach were made using old railway carriages to protect the seatown from heavy seas.

Visitors can enjoy long walks, spectacular scenery and beautiful sandy beaches. The West Beach passing the landmark of Covesea Lighthouse is some 3 miles long.
