A wonderful, detached, stone barn conversion, situated in an idyllic rural position on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the quiet village of Warslow. Surrounded by lovely countryside, Town End Barn sits in pretty grounds and offers wonderful views of Thor’s Cave and the Manifold Valley. Recently renovated, with charming wood floors and a cosy wood burning stove in the stone hearth in the sitting room, this spacious and comfortable accommodation makes a fantastic romantic hideaway. Excellent walking and cycling trails are available on the doorstep, whilst the local pub – The Greyhound – serves good food. Dovedale, with its famous River Dove, renowned as one of the most beautiful rivers in the Peak area, is just a short drive away.

.Owners Tim & Michelle have lived at Town End Farm for 15 years since they discovered the property whilst coming through the footpath whilst on a ramble. They fell in love with the farm and the village and have enjoyed the peace, the space and the Peak District ever since. They welcome visitors to the Barn and try to make sure that everyone who visits gets the best possible break whatever their interests are

Notes on accommodation: First floor is accessed by a spiral staircase via the twin bedroom. Full Gas (LPG) central heating via combi boiler with additional heating from wood burning stove in sitting room. Basket of logs and coal provided. Outside: Off road parking for two cars. Pretty garden and private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Utility Room: Washing machine & chest freezer in the garage adjoining the kitchen Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Starter pack of hand wash, loo rolls, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, etc. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Other: Cot and highchair on request.

A really nice cottage in a fantastic location and Michelle was great

The cottage was great it was warm and very light and open. The location was ideal near to all the areas we wanted to go too. Michelle was really helpful. Only negative was the kitchen got a bit tight for four at times. The kids loved it lots of room to runaround. They kept asking when we will come back.

Lovely secluded barn

Beautifully furnished barn in a quiet area...lots of walks on the doorstep and lovely helpful owners.

The upstairs is fab. Great views, really nicely decorated and spacious.

We'd definitely book this again, it was a great place to stay for a weekend.

Perfect weekend break in a beautiful setting!

We didn't want to leave after out weekend here - the barn is all the right amounts of cosy, comfortable and yet spacious! Myself, my boyfriend and another couple stayed here for a weekend and it was just perfect - the location was great, we were out all day walking and visiting the different villages. We then couldn't wait to get back and get the fire on and relax for the evening!

We did visit the local pub and that was spot on too.

This barn was like a home from home, and Tim and Michelle were really helpful from the moment we booked.

We would definitely return - its a lovely break from City life!

Special interest holidays:

This delightful village is situated on the side of the beautiful Manifold Valley in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Like its well known neighbour the Dove, the Manifold cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists with the “Manifold Trail” following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway. Warslow itself is a pretty stone built village, and close by is Hartington with a wide range of shops, whilst further afield is the market town of Ashbourne. The surrounding area has many pubs offering a good range of food and Alton Towers is just a 30 minute drive away.

There are stately homes to visit nearby including Chatswort &, Haddon Hall, and a variety of other attractions including Buxton Opera House, Farmer's Markets, fairs and festivals, nearby Craft Barn and horseriding.


The nearby village of Hartington (5 miles) has a good range of shops and places to eat. Chatsworth, Alton Towers, Haddon Hall are all around 30 minutes drive away. The towns of Leek, Bakewell, Buxon & Ashbourne are between 8 - 10 miles away
