Walking distance of 5-10 minutes to the centre of beautiful Mijas Pueblo - restaurants, shops, bars abound. With our children we have used Owner's Direct website over many years for our family holiday accommodation. Having stayed in some lovely apartments and small villas within Europe we decided to take the plunge and found our own beautiful modest apartment in one of the most idyllic Pueblo Blancos in Spain. Visiting Mijas Pueblo we were struck by its timeless beauty, stunning views over the Mediterranean sea, proximity to Malaga airport, tranquility, and most importantly, amazing all year round climate. We have tried to make our apartment a clean, relaxing, warm and inviting place to stay for people who, like us, are looking for somewhere to recharge their batteries and un-wind; we hope that you, like us, enjoy the wonderful sense of calm and beauty here when you come to stay.

Why Ruth and Richard chose Mijas

Mijas Pueblo nestles in the hills above and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Costa del Sol resorts of Marbella and Fuengirola, and yet the coast is accessible either by private car or public bus within a few short miles. The uninterrupted views over the Mediterranean sea are breathtaking; on a clear day it is possible to see Morocco in the distance. At night the lights down on the coast shine magically. During the day the beautiful cobbled streets of Mijas Pueblo offer a wide range of open air coffee stops, restaurants, tranquil gardens, plazas, and shops to browse away the hours. There is a genuine Spanish Bullring, traditional donkey taxis and carriage rides, as well as one of the finest ice-cream parlours in the whole of Spain! Walking and cycling in the hills above for the adventurous, or a frequent bus service to the coast for the beach lovers and shoppers alike.

What makes this apartment unique

Our modest but perfectly proportioned apartment is in a small, private, gated community. The real benefit of this apartment lies in its location - within walking distance of the stunning hillside village of Mijas Pueblo, yet secluded away just on the outskirts on the village, overlooking the Mediterranean sea with amazing views from the balcony terrace. Within the private community is a shared swimming pool with a sun-lounging terrace which also overlooks the coast down below (open May to early October). The apartment has a dedicated car parking space within the gated area. Within 200 yards is a bus stop with a service down to Fuengirola operates every half hour or so.

Coast/Beach:

By car Fuengirola is reached within 5-10 minutes; regular public bus services leave every 30 minutes or so, and take 25 minutes. Beaches such as busy resorts of Fuengirola, Benalmadena are all quick to drive to, as are quiter less developed beaches like Cabopino.

Travel:

Malaga airport is 15-20 minutes drive by car or taxi. Car hire is recommended if you wish to explore the local area or further afield. Granada or Seville are 2-3 hours drive. Trains leave from Malaga to Fuengirola. Regular bus services take you to Marbella or Fuengirola. All facilities needed for a weeks stay in our apartment are within easy walking distance in the village of Mijas Pueblo.

Local 24 hour shop selling bread, wine, food, milk etc is less than 2 minutes walk away. Closest restaurant 3 minute walk.

Notes:
The apartment is on the first floor of a private complex building, with a balcony terrace. Steep driveway access may be challenging for some. Unfortunately, due to previous noise levels which have caused upset to our neighbours, we do not accept more than two people to stay in our apartment at any one time. Outside: Small private balcony terrace with cast-iron table and four chairs. Shared swimming pool within the private community, open mid March to early October, with sun-lounging area and picnic bench and table with amazing views over the Mediterranean. Two full length sun-loungers with cushions are provided for use on the balcony or by the swimming pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and hand towels for every guest are provided, as are beach/swimming pool towels. Clean bed linen and towels every week.

Bright clean, airy and spacious apartment. AMAZING VEIWS.

We have just returned form a lovely week in this lovely apartment. The apartment was very spacious and had wifi! A big hit with my two boys (11&8), the veiws are simply amazing! We would enjoy a coffee in the morning on the balcony and a wine in the evening! The shared pool is lovely and clean and we had it to ourselves most of the week. The owners have sun loungers and beach towels that you can use they really thought of everything! We had a very lazy holiday just chilling out around the pool most days (boys request). We did have all intentions of going on some trips but we were just too chilled out. In the evening we would venture into Mijas. It took us about 10 min to walk, it is rather hilly getting out of of the aparment complex they do however have a lift. Mijas is beautiful, it is very spanish and charming. We would go into the square where the boys would join in with the other children and play football, there are some lovely restaurants in Mijas our favourite was the Secret garden. There are some lovely places for tapas our favourite's were Pampa and Koco. I would not hesitate to stay in Mijas heights again it was perfect. Thanks Ruth and Richard we loved your apartment you really thought of everything to make our stay perfect! We are already looking at dates for next year!

The perfect Spain!

A very practical and comfortable apartment in probably one of the most beautiful locations in Spain. We had a wonderful week. Leisurely strolls in to the middle of the village where we ate fantastic food in perfect surroundings.

This is a lovely property in a lovely locatiion within reach of the pretty town of Mijas

A lovely location in the pretty town of Mijas. The apartment is within walkable distance of the main square with it's sights and eateries. The views of the coast are also wonderful from the apartment and the facilities are perfect for a couple or small family. The complex has a nice small pool and there are some nice walks nearby (see tourist information).

The beaches on the coast require a drive or bus trip but are still available (we found some with convenient car parks). The apartment driveway is a little unnerving to drive down to at first (it is very steep) , but we got used to it. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the property, thank you
