At Glan Gwna Holiday Park set in 100 acres. On the edge of Snowdonia Park, 1 mile from Caernarfon.

3 Bedroom Detached Double Glazed Chalets. With large decking area with fantastic views over the river Seiont (Wheelchair ramp gives access to decking in cabin 240)

240 & 217 Bedroom details-

1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom & 1 with full size Bunk beds. (Bottom is double in 217)

241- Bedroom details- (note this is only rented as a 2 bedroom as my things are stored in the 3rd locked bedroom) I can clear bed & floor in this room to release an extra double bed but there would be no storage in this room as wardrobe would be full. (This would be extra £25 per night to use extra bedroom)

1 Double Bedroom & 1 bunk bedroom (bottom bunk is a double) while 241 is a 3 bed cabin with all lounge & kitchen space of larger cabin I only rent this out as a 2 bedroom as this is my own personal cabin so I store my things in the 3rd bedroom & only release dates when I'm not going.

As per above the third double bedroom can be made available for extra £25 a night but there would be no wardrobe in this room.

Please note that any reviews for 241 before 2nd May 2017 are actually for my old 2 bed cabin that I have now sold not for 241 as I have only just decided to rent mine out for a few weeks a year.

Dogs welcome except in 241.

Travel Cot also available to be in cabin if required (please bring your own bedding for this)

Bedding & Towels supplied. Bathroom with Bath & Shower over the bath.

Lounge area with 2 leather sofas, 40" HD LED TV With Freeview. (241 also has televisions in both bedrooms & an Xbox 360 in bunk bedroom with loads of games)

New Fitted Kitchens & all rooms have just been fully decorated & updated.

The Chalets are very well equipped with most items you would need. Electric Heaters & Feature Fire, Iron & Ironing board provided (washing machine & dishwasher in 217 & washing machine in 241)

183 Millstream is a large 2 bedroom cabin that has just been renovated throughout in Jan 2018 (updated photos attached)with large open plan lounge / kitchen area with raised decking area with fantastic views of the park & river below.

This cabin is accessed by walking up a small hill from where you park so is not really suitable for the elderly or disabled as although it is a small hill it is quite steep.

This cabin has a double bedroom with great views & another large bedroom with bunk beds & a single bed so can sleep 5 in beds.

There is also a sofa bed in the lounge if required (own bedding would be required for this)

The whole bathroom has just been replaced & now has a large corner shower enclosure rather than a bath.

Beauty salon - 'Beauty by Sue' offers a wide range of treatments including eyes, facials, wedding packages, nail extensions, tanning, waxing, air-brush make up, manicure/pedicure and relaxing massage

Dinas Dinlle Beach approx 5 miles. Portmeirion Village famous for the Prisoner.

The cabins are a tranquil haven set in beautiful woodlands while Caernarfon is a bustling walled town with so much history & character.

What makes this cabin unique

Both 240, 241 & 217 are Set literally on the river bank the views are amazing & change with the seasons.

183 is a 2 bedroom & is sat above the river & in the beautiful grounds & has been renovated to the same high standard.

183 would sleep 5 Adults (more if sofa bed used) & has a lovely view of the river below

Heated swimming pool in high season.

Fully Licensed Clubhouse on site with entertainment.

River or Coarse fishing on site with sea fishing nearby.

Lovely property, served its purpose well.

Had a great week and didn’t want to come home. Stayed in a few chalets at Glan Gwna and this one was up there with the best. Loved the gated decking which was ideal for our dog. Location beautiful and it was good to relax listening to the river flowing nearby.

Very comfortable stay and will go back again.

What a location!

This was the ideal spot for staying in Snowdon area near Caernarfon. Could not get much closer, or easier. Everything was exactly as explained, the cabin was in great shape inside, loved the sounds of the river outside. Made for nice sleeping! Conveniently close to Route 66 cafe and to an open conveniently late grocery down at the next roundabout with gas station. About the only negative I could come up with was the outside of the home could use a little TLC, sweeping, gutters, etc., but none of it interfered with the enjoyment of our stay, just something you notice. Howard could not have been nicer or easier to deal with, and again, everything went like clockwork for checking in, out, etc. Quiet area, nice people in neighborhood, it just is ideal for what we wanted. We were a family of four, but the cabin easily could have accommodated 6. This was an easy drive away from Holyhead to take the ferry to Ireland, and easy to go over to Conwy, up Snowdon, around Llyn Ogwen, Llyn Idwal, etc. If you want to see the northern Wales castles or enjoy Snowdonia, this is a great place for you!!!

The chalet was spacious and well presented in a lovely location on the site.

The stay was very enjoyable. We had good weather and sitting on the decking in the sun with the river flowing was perfect. However there were a few issues which did not spoil the holiday or stop me booking this chalet again. The bbq was not suitable for use as it was very rusty and old. Also the hammock was weather beaten and torn. Also the gutters need a little attention as they were leaking. Mirror in the bedroom and some hooks on back of bathroom door would be great. However like I said this chalet and location will not disappoint. I would highly recommend it. We took the grandchildren and their 2 scooters and they had loads of room to play on the lovely big decking area. Also arriving to the beds all made with lovely fresh linen and clean towels was great.

Cold, damp, musty, poor standard.

No doubting the setting is great but the property is renovated to a poor standard. When we arrived the cabin was very univiting. The decking is very very slippery and dangerous., inside was smelling extremely musty with damp in every room and very cold. We put the heaters on to try and warm the place up but they are not adequate. There was also a leak on the hot water cylinder which to be fair, Howard got someone to do a temporary repair. All in all not an enjoyable stay and in my opinion, overpriced.

Owner's Response: Please Read other reviews for genuine comments. Yes the hot water cylinder had been apparently been leaking so this was fixed within an hour of it being reported. The decking is slippery in winter hence the warning signs (being covered in Astroturf next month) You arrived late in the day in November so yes cabin would be cold on arrival but it soon warms up & is fully insulated to hold in heat. Cabin has been fully renovated as all other reviews will testify
