The apartment is beautiful; renovated creating stylish, light and airy accommodation to a very high standard, with stripped wood floors throughout. On two levels, the apartment comprises an open plan living and dining space, with a fitted contemporary kitchen on the first floor. The kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher , fan oven and hob and a fridge freezer. There are 2 daybeds in the living area which may be used as two singles. On the second floor there is a large double bedroom. There is also a large walk in shower

We fell in love with St Ives and have now lived here for over 8 years enjoying the natural beauty of the place, it's amazing beaches, art galleries and great restaurants.

We have recently purchased the Garden studio and Segals apartment which are cosy bolt holes in the heart of St Ives.

Lovely apartment, fantastic location.

This is our second time in these apartments, the first time we stayed in the Garden Studio, this time we decided to try Segals, the 1 bed apartment. We were not disappointed, the decor is lovely, very modern, well co-ordinated and furnished with quality fittings. We love the location of these apartments, everything is literally on your doorstep from the numerous beautiful beaches, shops, fabulous restaurants, cafes, the railway station and bus stops. We love everything about this apartment and will definitely be booking it again next year.

The booking process, communication and arrangements for picking up the key are very efficient. Thanks Gill for another fantastic holiday.

Great stay in May '16

My wife and I were attending a family wedding at carbis bay hotel, and we decided to make it a short break and took our dog, even tho the cottage with a garden wasn't available.

The instructions to Segals were great and on arrival they took us straight to the front door.

The cottage was perfect for our needs (other than the garden - our border collie Blade does need his fresh air)! It is decorated to a high spec and is perfectly positioned for those staying to enjoy the delights that St Ives has to offer.

The dog friendly areas are just a short walk away so that didn't cause us any problems.

Ok there is no parking at the property but car parks are only a 10 minute stroll away and we didn't struggle for a space on any occasion.

Overall Segals was great and we would thoroughly recommend it!

Finally our stay was hampered by me being seriously ill, from which I am recovering still in hospital... however I can say from experience that the bed is extremely comfortable!!

Thanks Gill - we would love to return in the future so I can try a proper Cornish pasty!

Wonderful and relaxing

Our stay at Segals was wonderful, spotting Segals drawings on The Sloop! The location made it for us, all we wanted to do was stay local, relax, potter around to galleries and eateries and of course spend time on the glorious beaches. Being so central meant we could pop back to the apartment whenever we liked, it truly felt like home from home. We will definitely be back!

Beautifully furnished apartment in the very heart

Fantastic week spent in the Segal's apartment, located right in the heart of town.We arrived to an immaculate tastefully decorated apartment with welcome complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Pleasant morning walks around the harbour which is only 2 minutes away .Great for access to the town centre and you feel in the heart of St Ives life. Overall a fantastic holiday.

Mr Benn

Just returned from the lovely quaint studio apartment and was welcomed inside to a clean delightful accommodation ideally located in the heart of st ives. Every time we stepped outside the front door onto the cobbled little pavements on fore street, it reminded us of when mr Benn when he stepped outside his shop and entered a new adventure. (For those of a certain age!). We had our border terrier who thoroughly enjoyed it and we hope to return. Missing it already!

We are literally a half a minute walk to the harbour and all the beaches.


5 mins walk from St Ives station. Newquay is the nearest airport followed by Exeter and Bristol.


Very close to beaches, Barbara Hepworth Garden and Tate St Ives.

Further Details:

You can unload your luggage from your car and then park in one of the long stay car parks. The nearest 2 are The Island and Barnoon Car Park. All within a 5 minute walk.

Notes on accommodation: Once the home of artist Hyman Segal, Segals apartment and garden studio are situated in the heart of St Ives, nestling amongst the cobbled streets of Down along. The apartments are within one of the town’s oldest buildings with an outlook over Fore St itself. Therefore, Segals and garden studio are ideally located for the many shops, restaurants and art galleries in the town. The harbour is seconds away and sandy, surfing beaches are just around the corner. we have wifi! Outside: Garden studio only has a private tropical garden. 2 lots of table and chairs. One set on the patio part and one set on the upper part. Completely secluded.
