Seascape is a beautiful home on an elevated site with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea from both levels, even from the plunge pool! There are 3 ensuite bedrooms in the main house and a further bedroom in the self contained annex. It is tastefully furnished and fully air-conditioned.

The villa is set in Sugar Hill Resort which offers great amenities in a beautifully landscaped tropical setting with fantastic views of the Caribbean sea and stunning sunsets. It offers the security of a gated resort, and is only minutes from the beaches and restaurants of the West Coast.

Facilities include free use of 4 floodlit tennis courts, an air-conditioned gym and clubhouse with restaurant, bar and infinity pool. There is a second freeform swimming pool in the gardens. In addition, guests will receive beach club membership at Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel for the duration of their stay, which provides sunbeds and parasols on a beautiful stretch of beach. You also have access to their watersports at additional cost. Locally there are beach bars and restaurants, and the opportunity to swim with turtles!

Holetown, with its banks, shops and restaurants, is just a few minutes drive away. The Limegrove Centre has world class shopping, places to eat and drink, and a cinema. Further north, Speightstown gives you a more local flavour of Barbados.

Seascape is a very spacious home. All the bedrooms are en-suite. The master bedroom has a large bathroom and dressing area, and opens out onto a big private balcony. The kitchen has a big American fridge with ice maker, and is very well equipped. There is a large lounge with flat screen cable TV. The covered outside veranda is where you will want to spend most of your time; eating, reading and relaxing. This has comfy sofas to sit and enjoy the view. The square hardwood dining table comfortably seats 8, and there is a further table and chairs on the sun terrace below, along with two sun loungers and the sparkling plunge pool. The guest cottage is completely independent, with its own entrance, ensuite, and kitchenette - for those who would like their own space.

beautiful house, fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely holiday at this stunning property on the West Coast. The house was clean and well equipped, with everything that we wanted, and we loved the annex cottage.

There are plenty of places to eat within a few minutes drive, all excellent quality and price. Favourite things to do...... swim with turtles from beach just down the road, rum punch on the veranda watching sun go down, Hartes gardens............. Cant wait to return and will definitely stay here again!

What's good for Cliff Richards is good fo me

  • 5 of 5

Cliff Richard's house is also on Sugar Hill so you can pop down the lane and ask him for a cup of sugar. Medallion Man Simon Cowell has moved on from Sugar Hill (too up-market for him!).

Cliff's house cost about $5 million but, really, he wouldn't be slumming it at Seascape, which has more mod cons than I thought had been invented.

And the beds are extremely rare - none of them gave me a back-ache.

I love the furnishings and that of course must mean that it is in the best possible taste! The workmanship quality of furniture and fittings is first class.

I managed only 3 lengths in Sugar Hill's Club infinity pool - a 3-minute stroll across the lawn but still out of earshot. I prefer Seascape's own private pool because I managed 12 lengths! Actually, as plunge pools go it's not bad at all.

Location-wise you're just 5 or so minutes from all the places along St James Beach that are worth visiting for eating or celeb spotting: Coral Reef, Lone Star, Fish Pot, Sandpiper, The Cliff (but get a second mortgage), Sandy Lane (but get a third mortgage) and Holetown is only 5 minutes away and has a brilliant supermarket and some really cute places a walk-away for an excellent yet inexpensive breakfast or afternoon tea .... or a Chanel handbag if you're that type of person.

The owners Gill and Graham Harrison are reliable, kind and thoughtful. Even though they are most professional we didn't feel we were in a business rental property.

My wife came for my sake - she is a pale-skin redhead who burns up easily in the sun and all too often gets badly bitten. But she was blister-free and bite-free this time. And she was as sad to leave as I was. That has to be the acid test.

Would give ten stars if I could!

We have just returned from a fortnight in this lovely villa on the Sugar Hill Estate. We had lived on the island 20 years ago and know it well, and made a nostalgic return with our two now grown up daughters and their friends, and specifically chose sugar hill because of its tranquil and cool setting, and excellent security. We played tennis every morning early on almost deserted courts and took coaching from Oli, an ex champion of barbados, who really improved all our play. The clubhouse, large pools and gym were excellent. The villa has every facility you could wish for, and the services of an excellent maid who came three times a week, and as well as cleaning and washing up, did all our laundry and ironing. The beaches at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion were a few minutes drive away, and the facilities there were excellent (easy parking which can be a problem on the West Coast), We all had a wonderful time, watching sunsets, rainbows, monkeys and humming birds from the house, and visiting old haunts. The owners helpful at all times. Would recommend particularly the Lone Star restaurant, and Bombas, as well as a visit to speightstown, and the Fishermans Pub.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your sparkling review! We are so glad you enjoyed all the facilities at Sugar Hill, including tennis coaching, and the large pools. We agree that the beach club membership at Royal Pavilion is a huge bonus to a villa holiday, giving you easy parking and access to one of the loveliest beaches on the island. Our housekeeper takes great pride in keeping Seascape immaculate, and we're glad you appreciated her laundry skills!

New Year stay

  • 5 of 5

Our one week stay at Seascape was our first visit to Barbados but Gill the villa owner ensured it was a fabulous stay. Right from the start Gill gave us every piece of detail about the villa, the area, places to go and responded patiently to our endless questions!! What's more with the West Coast vIllas Concierge on hand Tricia pre booked our car hire and restaurants, and luxury airport pick up, everything was absolutely seamless, especially important for newbies to the country like us.

The villa is set in established tropical gardens and it's utterly peaceful. The villa in our opinion has probably the best location for sunsets on the whole estate, the view from the deck, the master bedroom, is to die for. The little plunge pool is crystal clear and just enough of a slight chill to be refreshing , the outside dining/sitting area almost doubles the living space, with air a/c in every room, it really is perfect. The beds are big enough for an entire family to live in!!! And make sure u take a springboard as the mattresses are so deep you might need a leg up!!

Not sure there is enough room to write everything here but will try without boring everyone. Full laundry, although as owner provides housekeeper for 3 days a week you if her not need to venture in. they provide a stock up service from a great big provisions list so u r all set to go if u wish, kitchen is fully stocked with absolutely everything u might need. Sat TV, DVDs, books, games, you name it, it's there.

Monkeys playing in the gardens!! Membership of Fab beach club included. Clubhouse bar, pool, gym and restaurant a 2 min stroll away.

Location couldn't be better, miter ally a Five minute drive to a whole array of beaches and nightlife in Holetown,.

Cannot honestly recommend enough!!

Suggestions: avoid the crowds and dr is 15 minutes north to Port Ferdinand, go to the Yacht Club for lunch, beach round the corner is stunning and not a soul on it! Sandpiper, Fusion and The Beach Club for dinner.

Thanks again Gill and Graham

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your first visit to Barbados, and that Seascape was everything you'd hoped for. We love the fact it is so close to the beaches and restaurants on the West Coast, and yet set in the peaceful oasis that is Sugar Hill. It is great to hear other suggestions of places to eat - there certainly is a huge choice which makes a villa holiday easy and fun. We would be delighted to have you stay at Seascape again.

Barbados is a coral island which stands apart from the other Caribbean islands and is fortunate to lie outside the huricane belt. It enjoys 3000 hours of sunshine annually and average temperatures of 84-88* F (29-31*C) On the rare occasions when it rains, the spectacle is worth seeing! The sea is glorious -- warm, clear and safe. The local currency is the Barbados $ but US $ are also taken. The tap water is filtered through coral so not only safe to drink but also delicious!
