Relaxation at its best

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time to book this house and it didn't fail to disappoint again. From the views to comfort it really is a little piece of heaven. Love visiting the area and will definitely return and stay in Kia Ora in the future.

Wonderful retreat in Kerry

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 7 adults and two children looking for a last minute deal when we discovered this beauty before Easter!

The property is just as advertised: spacious, clean and well looked after. The space meant the two toddlers could run around to their hearts content which made it a lot more relaxing for their parents!

Catherine made us feel welcome from as soon as we arrived. We were travelling from Northern Ireland, and Catherine was able to meet us late on the Saturday to show us round and get us settled in. She was on hand throughout the week if we needed anything, and when the hot tub stopped working mid-week, she endeavoured to get it fixed as soon as possible.

The location and property meant that an excellent week was had. The sunset from the property was wonderful, and even better if sitting in the hot tub! The beach beneath the property is a short walk, where a beach front bar is also located, which seemed popular with those staying in the area. Derrynane beach was even better, along with great walks not too far away.

We had an amazing week down at this house, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

A wonderful home from home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Kia Ora with our three grandchildren for three nights. Oh, if only it could have been longer!

Catherine has thought of everything to make this a suburb place to stay. The chairs and beds are wonderfully comfortable ad, unlike many rental properties, everything has been bought with a view to comfort rather than to cost.

The children loved the hot tub and left in a rather more wrinkled state than they had arrived!

O'Carroll's Beach Bar is a must to visit and the many coves and beaches are stunning!

We shall return!

  • 5 of 5

It is two minutes walk fron Glenbeg strand which is a very safe sandy beach. It is ideally located to explore this spectacular part of Ireland. You can visit the wonderful beaches of Derrynane, Rath, Reen and Castlecove. Derrynane has a safe natural harbour where the watersports centre is located. It is a blue flag beach. Nearby you can visit the home of 'The Liberator' Daniel O' Connell and Derrynane National Park. There is a daily boat to Skelligs world heritage site from Derrynane.
