Within walking distance to the Harbour and the Town Centre it is in the perfect location for all holiday makers. It is close to all of northumberlands glorious beaches and historic sights. A perfect location for all types of users.

The town of amble has a lot to offer and has a lot of money being ploughed in to rejuvenate the harbour.

What makes this house unique

It is prime location, you could walk for 3 minute in many different directions. One direction will take you to the beach, another to the harbour, another to a big green, and another to the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Notes on accommodation: All power and linen included in the rent. Mains gas central heating. Parking nearby. Towels are not provided. 1 large or 2 small dogs allowed for a £10 supplement. Travel Cot and highchair available on request also a £10 supplement. Outside: To the rear of the property there is a shared yard with the adjoining properties. Part of the yard is partitioned off especially for this property. You may use the gates to go to and from the property. When bringing dogs to the property, We ask to please be courteous of the neighbours as they have pets too. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is included in the price, this will be fresh for your arrival and will get changed when you depart. There will be various spares kept within the property in case. Towels are not provided.

The property completely exceeded our expectations.

Had a fantastic time at Ambler's rest. It was presented to a very high standard and had absolutely everything we needed. The location was great, especially for kids with the sea and a play ground on the doorstep. The only niggling thing was it would have been better to have 2 singles in the 2nd room as this would make it more family friendly. Not really a problem though if the children dont mind sharing a bed or if it's two couples going away together. We will definitely be back. Love Northumberland!

a beautiful cottage

the cottage was very clean and finished to a very high standared it was well located for local shops and pubs, You were just a few minuets away from the beach , Ami was very helpful prior to our arrival and when we arrived she had left a lovely Christmas tree for us as well as a welcome pack we would certainly recommend this cottage to any one looking for a home away from home

A beautifully presented bolt hole from which to explore the wonderful Northumberland coastline.

We had a lovely weeks holiday in Amble. We found the facilities at Amblers rest very well thought out and beautifully presented. We were staying with our two young girls and although we had to keep the smallest away from the stairs, it worked well for a family break. The rooms were large and roomy, everything was clean and comfortable. We loved exploring the harbour at Amble itself, the many National Trust properties and gardens nearby, as well as some beautiful days on the beach at Alnmouth and on Holy Island. We also loved a boat trip out to the Farne Islands from seahouses, an absolute must if you are staying here. We missed the puffins unfortunately, but the seals put on a good show for us!

Perfect for our Stay

This is our second year running to stay at this cottage and yet again the quality of the cottage has improved since last year, it is always very clean with many cleaning appliances and there is good quality furniture. Whilst the bed in the main bedroom is a bit on the low side, it did not effect our sleep. Its in a perfect location for the town, harbour and sea front including the local fish & chip shop which I would highly recommend. The welcome pack is a lovely thought after a long journey from London and I am sure we will be visiting again at some point in the near future.

There is a small beach literally 2 minutes away from the property. Warkworth beach is 2 miles south or the other option is druridge bay country Park which is 2 mile south which offers a beach, a lakes and trails.


The nearest airport is newcastle international approx 25 miles drive. Alnmouth train station is 5 miles away and has regular links north and south.


Amble town centre is a 5 minute walk from the property. The town centre has many excellent eateries, quirky shops and unique cafés. The market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth are a 15 minute drive away north and south.

Further Details:

There is a swimming pool and gym 5 minutes away from the property which is available for public use. There is a tesco and a coop in Amble, for bigger supermarkets there is a Lidl, Sainsburys and Morrisons in Alnwick.
