About Julie Sandercock
We both feel privileged to have lived in Cornwall all our lives. Julie was born and brought up in the village of Treknow and can remember as a child when the utility room of Shutta Park was being used to milk cows in by her Aunt and prior to that her Grand Mother. Clive was brought up near the Moors and lived at Altarnun. Shutta Park was converted into a home in the late eighties where they lived until 2008. The owners now live opposite in what was the old Church in Treknow. There was a family connection also as the Church was built by Julie's late Grand Father George Climo in 1929. We enjoy meeting new guests and welcoming them into our home and sharing our Cornish knowledge and information.
Julie Sandercock purchased this Barn in 1980
Why Julie Sandercock chose Tintagel
There was a family connection with Shutta Park as the owner's Grand Parents and then Aunt farmed there until the Seventies and it remained redundant then until planning permission was obtained to convert it into living accommodation. We love the area of Treknow as you are close to the coastal path for stunning views and walks and near to the beach at Trebarwith Strand. We enjoy many days swimming and enjoying the views, walking the beach and collecting muscles from the rocks to cook up and enjoy with a glass of wine! Trebarwith beach stretches almost a mile when the tide is out so there is plenty of space for everyone.
What makes this Barn unique
We feel that we offer very competitive rates and offer excellent value for money. Shutta Park is situated within easy walking distance of the coastal path with stunning views over Trebarwith Strand and the coast.

A wonderful property
We had a wonderful stay at Shutta Park. A beautiful barn conversion. Very cosy and spotless. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The property as shown was excellent definitely five star
What a wonderful holiday we had at Shutta Park, Treknow, Nr Tintagel. The accommodation was superb. It is ideally situated to visit many places of interest on the North coast of Cornwall. We spent some memorable days at Padstow/Port Isaac/Tintagel Castle/Bude/Boscastle & not forgetting Trebarwith Strand, & many more lovely places. The property is very well equipped, comfortable & cosy. Julie greeted us with a warm welcome providing us with a delicious cake & cookies. Thank you Julie & Clive for a brilliant holiday & we hope to return very soon.
Fantastic, well equipped property in a wonderful location.
Julie and Clive could not have been more welcoming and helpful, from providing us with the most sublime home baked cup cakes on our arrival to giving us excellent information about the area. The property was spotlessly clean and brilliantly laid out, especially for returns from the beach with a very useful downstairs entrance to a utility room to deal with wet suits, body boards, etc. The house is located close to loads of beaches that are easy to reach. One of the beaches, Trebarwith Strand, can be reached by foot from the house and has wonderful surf, rock pools and a lovely pub, the Port William, overlooking the water. You can also access coastal walks along the cliffs from the house and watch beautiful sun sets. We can’t wait to return.
We are so delighted you enjoyed your first stay at Shutta Park and hope you will return. It was a real pleasure meeting you all and sharing our local knowledge with you to enable you to get the most from your visit.
