Cottage in Hebron, Nr. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Wales - Peaceful Location,10 Minutes From The Preseli Hills & 30 Minutes Drive To Pembrokeshire Beaches.

'Y Cartws' is a renovated outbuilding (formerly the cart-house and stables) on a sheep farm - Maesyfelin. The owners, Paul and Eirlys Williams and their family are the 7th generation of the family to have farmed here.Y-Cartws offers the ideal base however you wish to spend your time while exploring the coast and countryside of beautiful West Wales. It is a very peaceful location with wonderful views across acres of lush green grass. Our visitors are welcome to take a walk down to our woodland area where there is a stream and plenty of space for a picnic. Y Cartws is also located in a great spot for star gazing with it's wonderful dark sky's at night weather permitting of course. During the month of March and April we have the busy time of Lambing our visitors are welcome to have a look at what's going on or give us a hand with the feeding of molly lambs if we have any! The cottage itself has a large farmhouse kitchen, a laundry room and a living room on the ground floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin with the option of a cot and a put up single) and a bathroom. It has oil central heating throughout. WI -FI is available through out the cottage password given at arrival, we are on EE Mobile phone's and have signal on the farm. We also provide a stair gate, cot and high chair for our younger guests. Plenty of parking space is available. There is a lawn area to the left of the cottage, and a bench and table just outside the cottage.

Hello, my name is Eirlys Williams. My husbands family have lived and farmed here at Maesyfelin for generations, we are the 7th here. We decided to convert Y Cartws about 9 years ago, it used to be a stable and cart-house. It has been a holiday cottage now for 8 years. I do all the job's that go with letting a holiday cottage, cleaning, advertising, paperwork, home cooking ect... We are fluent Welsh speakers, so we could give you a few lessons! Have very good knowledge of the area as we have both lived here all our lives. Also we are both always happy to help our guests with anything we possibly can.

The cottage is in a very peaceful area. It is in the middle of the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. There is a shop and garage just a mile up the road. Our nearest small town is Narberth,

What a beautiful time we had in Wales and how lucky we feel to have found this perfect little place of Paul and Eirlys’s! The only thing that could have made it better would have been more time. We came to find our ancestors resting place and to visit friends which we made 8 years ago, the last time we were in Wales. Y Cartws cottage is not just a place to sleep it’s a small piece of heaven that could be a rest and a retreat in itself, it’s a destination rather than a stopover. The cottage itself is lovely, the accommodations are great, the landscape is phenomenal and Paul, Eirlys and their family are best of all. Thank you so very much for having us.

Lovely country location

We used the accommodation as a base to explore the area of Pembrokeshire from shopping in Carmarthen to the beaches in Tenby and St Davids Whitesands. The accommodation was good with a nice big kitchen area and lounge. Upstairs were two decent size bedrooms and a landing area with a comfy lounger to sit and read or just look at the stars through the velux window. The owners were friendly and we would definitely stay again if in the area. Emma

A quiet place in a lovely cottage

Y Cartws is a spaceous self catering cottage on a sheep farm. Although sheeps are clearly present in the adjacent meadows, the cottage is very quiet, light and cool during our week summer stay. The two dogs are friendly and even cheerful each time when we arrived after a day's walk in the Welsh country. definitely child friendly, spaceous (4 people fit in easily), modern and fully equipped kitchen, with TV, DVD player, etc. Ther is very little to improve on, we felt very welcome, and enjoyed staying here. Definitely a recommended place for staying some time, and suitable for all ages.

Should you wish to cancel your booking, we must be notified in writing by the lead guest who's name the booking is under. On receipt of your written cancellation the following charges will apply; more than 28 days prior to your arrival date 25% of the total cost, 28-14 days prior to your arrival date 50% of the total cost, less than 14 days prior to your arrival date 100% of the total cost. For all cancellations at any time after booking the deposit is non-refundable.
