British/Greek family living in London and letting holiday villa in typical Greek seaside town.
Anne Koutsabeloulis purchased this villa in 1998
These villas were built for us as holiday homes. We love the area which has an exciting history and the wonderful Greek atmosphere. Most of the other holidaymakers are Greeks, many of them owning holiday property in the area.
Wonderfully situated only moments from the beach, the beach side cafes and also only around the corner from the super local market which is held twice a week in summer.
Arrivals are between 2pm and 8pm. Departures by 11am.
We include all utilities - electricity, water, wifi etc. We also provide clean bed linen and towels, changed weekly. Included in our charges is a small welcome basket of locally sourced goods and a bottle of wine.
This is a really lovely villa. We received a lovely welcome pack and the villa is equipped with everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. Amazing bathrooms and spacious rooms for all of the family to enjoy. The swimming pool is a good size and our children really enjoyed it. We had the villa to ourselves and so were able to enjoy the garden and pool in peace and privacy.
The villa is situated close to the beach and restrautants, with easy access from Athens itself and day trips to Meteora, Delphi and other sites within reach.
A great family holiday with a mix of visits and pool relaxation. Thoroughly recommend this villa.
Nice place. Car needed to get to property and get around. Good beaches. Skiathos (by boat) and Delfi best places to go. Nice restaurants. Everything about the accomodation was good. Owner's very helpful. We went just before the season started. Was not at all busy. Very hot in June.
The villa was just as we expected: well equipped, very clean and well maintained with a large pool. The town is a friendly and vibrant resort popular with all ages and with a plethora of tavernas serving local food. Most visitors are Greek; Brits like us are few and far between. When not sightseeing we drove 5km south to a quieter beach with clear water, but still with a bar and taverna. We chose this villa because it is centrally located between Delphi, Athens and Meteora, all of which are well worth visiting. Our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers had a great holiday and would recommend the villa to others looking to combine sightseeing with a beach holiday.
Approximately 50 metres straight down the road to the beaches. Simple beaches nearest the house with charming beach side tavernas serving food and drinks, there is a beach club with music and inflatables at the other end of town (about 10 minute walk).
About 2 hours drive from Athens airport. Coach transfers available from Athens bus station.
Central Kammena Vourla town 50 metres. Local Market on Mondays and Fridays two minutes walk.
Very attractive seaside town with all facilities - banks, shops, supermarkets, bakeries, beach side cafes and tavernas, restaurants. Boat trips available to lovely local island called Lihadonisia with beach bar, sandy beach and shallow water that is great for children and adults alike.
Lihadonisia, are the Seychelles of Greece. In the northern Gulf of Euboea, between Kamena Vourla and Euboea, there are a cluster of islands, called Seychelles by the locals. This group of islands, Lihadonisia, emerged after a big earthquake thousands of years ago. During the past years there were inhabitants, but today no one lives there any longer; they are protected natural areas. The islands are a perfect destination for one day excursions and there is a regular ferry that leaves a few minutes walk from our house.
