Alishan Cornwall Holidays at Astor Court is a stylish apartment on the first floor of the building. It sleeps up to 6 people in comfort. The lounge and both bedrooms have sunset views towards the sea. They extend far out to sea straight ahead and miles along the dramatic north Cornish coastline in both directions. The windows extending from the floor to ceiling ensure light and airy feeling.The apartment is jam-packed with goodies – free and unlimited high-speed wi-fi, HD TV and FreeView satellite, DVD player, washing/dryer machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker, oven and a large dining table. The Apartment is decorated with Cornish theme art work. The Master Bedroom has a king-sized bed, an en-suite shower room, a gigantic wardrobe, and a TV. The Guest Bedroom has a double-bed and a large wardrobe. So there are plenty of spaces for storing personal belongings and suitcases. The sofa bed in the Lounge can sleep two people. In addition to a large bathroom, the Apartment is also equipped with a highchair and a cot. As the Apartment is accessible by a lift/an elevator, it is suitable for families with young children, or guests requiring assistance, e.g. wheelchair. There is a dedicated off-street parking space. A parking bollard has been installed to secure the parking space, particularly during peak seasons. The access instrutction is very clear and detailed which made it easy for us to access the flat once arrived on site. The flat was very clean and cosy, it has a feeling of home. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely apartment with sea view

Mum and I were pleasantly surprised by the apartment when we arrived. It was very clean, everything was in good order and the view over the sea was lovely. It is well situated with the town of Newquay only being a 10 minute walk away and the beaches being close by too. We used the apartment as a base and visited a different town every day and we found the location perfect for this. We particularly loved Padstow and Port Isaac (being Doc Martin fans). Should we visit Cornwall in the future, we would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Excellent Accomodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The accommodation was clean to a high standard and well kept, all facilities and cooking equipment was available. The location is good and local to various beaches, it was nice waking up each morning to a sea view. We would recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Really lovely apartment with sea views from all windows

Delightful apartment. Light and spacious. Immaculately presented and exceptionally clean and tidy. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need. Lovely fresh towels provided and two spacious bathrooms. The owners were very accommodating and even set up a cot and high chair for us. Great communication from them as well. Well placed for visiting other parts of Cornwall and close to the airport. Would definitely recommend!

Clean, comfortable, well presented and well positioned

We stayed for a week in the property at the beginning of June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable and ideally positioned with most of the Newquay beaches within a few minutes walk as well as being close to the town for the restaurants and attractions. Both Perranporth and Padstow are within easy driving distance from the apartment and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as an excellent base for a holiday. We plan to return to Newquay in the not too distant future and will be looking to re-book when we do

The stunning sea views from the Apartment remind us of the magnificent seas of clouds seen from the top of Mount Alishan in Taiwan, hence we call our new holiday home Alishan. Indeed, our Cornish Alishan is easily accessible all over the UK and beyond. The Newquay Cornwall Airport is just five miles away; from there. We adore Alishan very much and believe our guests will appreciate it too.

Both Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze beaches are just two minutes by foot. The famous Fistral Beach is just 8 minutes away by car and 30 minutes by foot.


The Newquay-Cornwall Airport is just five miles from the Apartment. There are two main routes to Newquay, one is to use motorways and then M25, M5, and A30, but there is another very good scenic route that uses the A303. If your GPS system does not recognise our post code, because it is new, please enter the KILBIRNIE HOTEL which is next door to Astor Court. The Train Station is about a 5 minute walk from the Apartment. There are many regional buses stopping immediately outside the Apartment.


The best way to get into town is to walk. Parking in the summer season would be difficult. The town centre is about ten minutes away by foot. The route from the Apartment into Town is on the scenic South West Coat Path.

Further Details:

There is a TESCO EXPRESS a one minute walk away, which opens from 7am to 11pm. Other major supermarkets and shops include Asda, Aldi, and the Factory Shop, all in the Town Centre about 10 minutes walk away. There are various shops to suit all ages and tastes. There is a General Practitioner Practice, Narrowcliff Surgery, a short distance (3 mins walk) from the apartment. Newquay has a number of activity centres, including the Concept Gym, Atlantic Angling Centre, many surfing shops and surfing schools. Surfing equipment can be loaned or purchased. There are numerous restaurants of local, British or international cuisines, including traditional Cornish, Portuguese, Mexican, Chinese, British Etc.. Newquay will suit everyone, and there are things to do all the year round. Well equipped surfers will enjoy their sports all year round, even in the Christmas and New Year season! There is a Zoo in Newquay and a Blue Reef Aquarium as well as Bertie’s Night Club to mention just a few. New Year celebrations at the Harbour are quite special with everyone in Fancy Dress and a delightful Fireworks display.If you do not bring your own car, there is a car hire centre at the Newquay Airport. Should you wish to visit the Isles of Scilly, you could do so by taking a 30 minute flight on Skybus from Newquay Airport, or by catching the ferry from Penzance.

We accept a 25% deposit to book a holiday, and this is non-refundable. The balance of your holiday rental must be paid no less than 4 weeks before your planned arrival. We strongly recommend you obtain holiday insurance, to cover such contingencies. a security bond of £150 is payable with the final payment. This will be fully refunded after your holiday if the apartment is left in order. We may offer a discount for returning visitors or referred guests. Please contact us for information.

Changeover Day:
Guests may arrive at the Apartment after 4-00pm on day of arrival, and must leave by 10-00am on the day of departure. This is to allow time for the Housekeeper to prepare the apartment for following guests. During Summer, the Changeover Day is Saturday.
