About Paula Coast
Railway Cottage used to be our home - we spent five happy years there and still live close by. Now living in a hamlet outside Holt, we remain firmly entrenched in Norfolk life! I first visited the North Norfolk Coast in the back of a minibus with a gang of German exchange students - there was a memorable international football match on Brancaster Beach and a huge bbq on the sands. Needless to say I slightly fell in love with it and have been coming back ever since. I was quick to jump in when we were given the chance to live here, and now can't imagine living anywhere else.
Why Paula Coast chose Holt
In spite of its name, Railway Cottage was, we think, built on the site of an old Market Garden. Its relative proximity to the North Norfolk Railway and the fact that the 'Holt Flyer' Route Master bus sails past the front door adds an element of intrigue for the railway enthusiast but that is where the rail connection ends!
What makes this Cottage unique
Railway Cottage has been described as 'all trousers and no mouth!' - because it is very unassuming from the outside, but opens up into something rather more interesting on the inside. The most frequent comments I receive are that it feels like 'a home from home' and 'I could live here'. I think probably the best things about it are that it is really comfortable and conveniently located - you can even bring the dog!

Railway cottage is a fantastic cottage, deceptively large and really comfortable.
Plenty of local places to eat and within easy distance of lots of beautiful Norfolk attractions.
Delighted you had a fun time - recommend a return visit when the Holt lights are on - twinkly lights and roaring fires, blustery coastal walks with crashing waves and holing up in cosy pubs - can't beat it!
Beautiful and well located
The property is beautifully designed, larger than we expected and has all the little thoughtful things that make your stay easier and more enjoyable. The location is an easy walk into Holt and really well placed to get to all the best north Norfolk beaches and villages. A perfect stay!
Exactly as described a lovely house in a great location.
We had a lovely long weekend in Holt based in this lovely property. Three generations and two dogs and it catered for everyone, in particular the three year old who loved the books and toys.
The house and garden is just as nice as the pictures suggested, I am sure we will return, thank you.
We had a wonderful week in this gorgeous cottage - perfect weather too!
Family get together
First time for young cousins to sleep in same room proved to be a big success marvellous toys, books and dvds helped
Grownups had plenty of room in a deceptively large well appointed house
Delighted you had a great time and enjoyed staying at Railway Cottage - hope you managed to revisit Blakeney and enjoyed the sunshine - welcome back for a family get together anytime!
A return visit for our family of seven, and it was just as wonderful the second time! This time the weather was kind and we were able to use the beautiful garden and outdoor seating, as well as enjoying all the space inside the cottage.
Not sure why I didn't see this, but so pleased you enjoyed your holiday and had sunshine as it has been rather an odd summer on the weather front! Pleasure to welcome tidy, thoughtful guests - thank you!
