Vista a La Piscina (2 + 2)
About Danny Brierley
Having had many years of self-catering holidays at home and abroad, we've built up good awareness of what makes for a great holiday rental (and what doesn't). Accurate information, timely communication, CLEANLINESS, well equipped, comfortable, great location, good value price... Danny Brierley works for the Church, having previously been an RE teacher and executive search consultant. Sally Brierley works for the National Probation Service. We live in Stourbridge, West Midlands, UK.

Why Danny Brierley chose Torrevieja
We love the beachfront location, Vista al Mar's stunning views out to sea (though we actually prefer the indoor/outdoor living of Vista a la Piscina, with its direct -access to the swimming pool and good-sized patio), the clean and modern interior, fabulous sun for 320+ days of the year...

Comfortable and extremely well equipped
Having never been that far south in Spain we were delighted with the town and the location of the apartment. It is not in the centre of the town but just a couple of minutes walk from everything which suited us. We found the local supermarkets superb with a massive choice of restaurants and bars.We walked a lot and found the sea air invigorating especially as we both had bad bronchitis for a few weeks before we set off. The Apartment had quality utensils and crockery etc. Not the usual cheap bendy stuff that many owners provide. We have no hesitation in recommending the property for anyone seeking agood home from home. British TV on a large screen and free broadband wi-fi better strength and speed that we get at home
good location, clean and well equipped.
Clean, tidy, well equiped and exactly as described.
The apartment was spotless and pleasantly cool despite the outside temperature. Made welcome by Sally in a nice relaxed meet and greet. The inclusive Wifi was very useful and the selection of English TV channels was very good (far better than other places we have stayed). The nearby small supermarkets allowed us to shop easily and quickly. The roof terace was great although we couldn't stay in the sun for long even in October. The beach being only 50m from the front door was perfect and our main reason for choosing this rental. We are already considering a return next year but would rent the larger aparment as we are planning to bring more people. All in all we enjoyed our week in the sun recharging our batteries before the English winter.
Thanks for the review. We’re pleased to hear it met your expectations. It really is all about cleanliness, facilities, location... We look forward to welcoming you and your friends back again.
Great location and good facilities
Great Base and access for beach and restaurants. Easy parking and nice pool. Supermarket on doorstep.
Apartment with easy chill vibe
Our apartment was a 15 minute walk from the bus station ( the aiport bus from Alicante runs every hour and is 7 euros which is great) There are 3 supermarkets within 5 minutes ,one is actually at the entrance of the building. Many restaurants ,varying prices nearby, it was lovely walking about deciding where to go. The promenade is busy but good holiday vibe, felt safe the whole time and not accosted but venders. Parking seemed difficult for those with cars. The nearby beach had busy areas but it was not to difficult to find quieter areas. The apartment has parasols and chairs for the beach. Our apartment faced North which made it comfortable. There was a private terrace area and steps up to the communal pool. The pool was regularily cleaned and was open 10 till 10. Sally the agent was available through email, text and whats app which was convenient and reassuring
We’re glad you enjoyed your holiday, the area, and our Apartment #2 - Vista a La Piscina. During peak July-August there is more demand on parking along the sea front but guests with cars will still find a space. Our other apartment has its own underground car parking space. But a lot of our guests, whatever apartment, tend to go car-less for their holiday. As you say, with so much in close proximity, a car is not necessary.
The property was very modern and very well equipped. It was very clean and well maintained.
I loved the location of the property. We had never been to Torrevieja before and it was a great experience. The hustle and bustle of the streets to the crowded colourful beach fronts were very appealing. The big percentage of elderly people along with their families gave the place a very laid back, fuss free atmosphere.
From the moment we landed everything went smoothly. Eddie our taxi man was chatty and good humoured. Sally , who met us at the apartment , was great and showed us everything. The fact that the apartment had everything we needed was a bonus. The equipment was good quality, unlike the usual utensils in holiday apartments. The location was perfect . Overall we had an excellent time there and thanks to all who made it happen
Special interest holidays:
The area is good for:
- Bird watching
Playa de Los Locos (760 metres long) is on your doorstep and is arguably the best beach in the area. Like all Torrevieja's four sandy beaches, it flies the 'blue flag' for cleanliness, water quality, facilities and safety. It includes a children's play area and beach cafe.
10-15 minutes walk along the promenade is the lively and central Playa del Cura beach (325 metres long) especially popular with Spanish holidaymakers in the height-of-summer.
Alicante (26 miles) and Murcia San Javier (21 miles) airports have direct flights to many UK airports: Belfast; Birmingham; Blackpool; Bournemouth; Bristol; Cardiff; Doncaster; East Midlands; Glasgow; Glasgow Prestwick; Leeds/Bradford; Liverpool; London Gatwick; London Luton; Luton Stanstead; Manchester; Newcastle; Southend; Southampton Eastleigh - as well as many other European cities.
Car hire is often cheaper in Spain BUT, with a direct coach-transfer from Alicante, consider going car-less!
Playa de Los Locos is on the edge of Torrevieja, a thriving coastal town, popular with Spaniards, Scandinavians and Brits. With no major hotel complexes or high rise developments, it is has retained more of its Spanish feel than perhaps some of the northern Costa Blanca resort towns.
Within walking distance is a bakery, general store, pharmacy, small supermarket, bicycle hire and a couple of bars and restaurants.
