Vista al Mar (4 + 2)
About Danny Brierley
Having had many years of self-catering holidays at home and abroad, we've built up good awareness of what makes for a great holiday rental (and what doesn't). Accurate information, timely communication, CLEANLINESS, well equipped, comfortable, great location, good value price... Danny Brierley works for the Church, having previously been an RE teacher and executive search consultant. Sally Brierley works for the National Probation Service. We live in Stourbridge, West Midlands, UK.
Danny Brierley purchased this Apartment in 2015
Why Danny Brierley chose Torrevieja
We love the beachfront location, Vista al Mar's stunning views out to sea (though we actually prefer the indoor/outdoor living of Vista a la Piscina, with its direct -access to the swimming pool and good-sized patio), the clean and modern interior, fabulous sun for 320+ days of the year...

Lvely appartment excellent situated above great tapas bar and small but well stocked supermarket
Overall acceptably mainmtained.
Great location, amazing sea view
Apartment is located very well and there is a grocery store in same building. The views are amazing and sun shines from morning to afternoon, about to 3pm. There are dishwasher and good selection on kitchen equipments.
Also points for housekeeper.
To improve the place, I would buy a new sofa and a few things in kitchen. Also I would make a spring-clean. Anyway it was a good value for the money.
Beautiful place. There were all you need for holiday.
Clean and nice apartment. Some difficulties with coffee maker and TV. We rekommend!
What a view!
Loved the apartment, double width balcony with fantastic sea view, choice of furniture on balcony. Apartment is very well equipped even has a slimline washer & dishwasher. English tv, great WiFi and comfy bed and pillows. Slept so well listening to the waves then watching the beautiful sunrise.
There’s a little supermarket 1 minute away and a bigger one Masymas about a 10 minute walk, there’s a shopping trolley in apartment if you don’t have a car. If you do, there’s an underground car park to use. There’s a shop underneath the apartment that sells whatever you need household wise, I bought a teapot but they sell phone chargers aswell.
Beautiful walks on a long and flat promenade with plenty of seating and pubs and eateries nearby.
Sally the ‘meet & greeter’ was lovely.
Tried booking again for next year but already booked.
Excellent apartment with everything you could wish for. Would definitely rent this again.
Excellent. Clean tidy with everything we needed.
The apartment was just what we needed. four adults for a week with one double and one twin room. The twin room bedding would have been better with quilts instead of blankets however this did not detract from the overall satisfaction. the view was awesome and nearby facilities excellent.
We had a great time.
Special interest holidays:
The area is good for:
- Bird watching
Playa de Los Locos (760 metres long) is on your doorstep and is arguably the best beach in the area. Like all Torrevieja's four sandy beaches, it flies the 'blue flag' for cleanliness, water quality, facilities and safety. It includes a children's play area and beach cafe.
10-15 minutes walk along the promenade is the lively and central Playa del Cura beach (325 metres long) especially popular with Spanish holidaymakers in the height-of-summer.
Alicante (26 miles) and Murcia San Javier (21 miles) airports have direct flights to many UK airports: Belfast; Birmingham; Blackpool; Bournemouth; Bristol; Cardiff; Doncaster; East Midlands; Glasgow; Glasgow Prestwick; Leeds/Bradford; Liverpool; London Gatwick; London Luton; Luton Stanstead; Manchester; Newcastle; Southend; Southampton Eastleigh - as well as many other European cities.
Car hire is often cheaper in Spain BUT, with a direct coach-transfer from Alicante, consider going car-less!
Playa de Los Locos is on the edge of Torrevieja, a thriving coastal town, popular with Spaniards, Scandinavians and Brits. With no major hotel complexes or high rise developments, it is has retained more of its Spanish feel than perhaps some of the northern Costa Blanca resort towns.
Within walking distance is a bakery, general store, pharmacy, small supermarket, bicycle hire and a couple of bars and restaurants.
