About Faye Emery

Hilton Farm Holidays is a small family-run group of holiday cottages. We live on site with our three children. We moved down to this beautiful part of Cornwall from the Midlands in 2013.

Faye Emery purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Faye Emery chose Marhamchurch

Hilton is a beautiful spot. We love the views over the countryside to the sea. It is close to the coast and there is lots to do, but it is very peaceful, on a quiet road on the outskirts of a village so it is easy to get away from the summer rush.

We are on the North Cornwall/ North Devon border so it is easy to explore these two counties. The Eden Project, Padstow and Port Isaac, Clovelly and Appledore are all within an hour's drive with Tintagel, Boscastle and Bude very close. The South West coastal path runs along the coastline and there are some amazing views over the sea. The area is popular for cycling, pony trekking and surfing as well as walking. The beaches are beautiful; Widemouth and Black Rock are 10 minutes in the car or a walk over the fields. There is a sea pool in Bude.

What makes this cottage unique

Hilton is set in 25 acres of farmland. We have a children's play area and games room, ponies, chickens and rabbits. There is an outdoor all weather tennis court. We have a lovely outdoor heated swimming pool which is open from Easter to September and a hot tub. A beauty therapist who lives in the village offers massages, facials and other treatments on site.

Hilton is easy to get to, located just off the A39 which runs down the coast. Supermarkets and shops are located in Bude (2 miles). There are pubs and restaurants in Bude and along the coast. For days when the sun does not shine, Bude has a good indoor swimming pool with slide and wave machine and a soft play centre with bowling. There is also a local cinema.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We stayed here for a few days in order to attend a family party. We were a mixed age group from 1- 57. The cottages are very well equipped, clean and the beds are very comfortable. the outside space is very good especially for young children as there is a pool, play area and some animals. The owners are very friendly and accessible but not intrusive. there is a BBQ area and also a hot tub. we would definitely stay here again when visiting the area."

"Had a lovely time, cottages are very well equipped and clean. Kids had great time as they could go off and play and be safe. Swimming pool and hot tub lovely. Would thoroughly recommend Hilton farm and hope to visit again next year."
