Casa Val d'Aso is located just a few minutes drive from the medieval hilltop village of Force (25 mins North of Ascoli Piceno) and enjoys an ideal location for exploring Le Marche. The 19th Century stone farmhouse provides spacious accommodation for small or large groups, with gardens and a private swimming pool. The house is within easy reach of the Sibillini National Park, where you can enjoy walking, cycling, horse-riding and soak up the fantastic scenery. The beautiful Adriatic coastline is also within easy reach for excellent seafood and family friendly beaches with good facilities. The regional capital cities of Ascoli Piceno, Fermo and Macerata are all within easy reach of Casa Val d'Aso - and offer beautiful architecture and excellent shopping and people watching opportunities! Ascoli Piceno holds the annual Quintana festival in August where you can see medieval jousting, and also boasts the magnificent Piazza del Popolo - often referred to as 'the most beautiful Piazza in the whole of Italy'. There are many well priced, excellent restaurants local to the house where you can enjoy Italian home cooking, and some also offer takeaway.

Beautiful house and great location
Our third visit to the Monti Sibillini and a first to Casa Val d'Aso. We were two families plus two extra friends, the accommodation space was more than ample and of a high standard. We spent two weeks at the villa swapping master bedrooms half way through so we all got to enjoy the show stopping bathroom!
We cooked daily enjoying the bountiful local supplies. The recycling facility may have been a little startled at the bottle count but there were eight adults! Practicing Italian at the local butchers a stones throw away from the house. We also enjoyed the festival in the local town of Force, sundowners overlooking the Sibillini, what could be better?
We did four big walks during our stay, climbing Sibilla, walking up to Lago di Pilato (yes, we did see the red shrimp), Mount Amandola and Gola Infinaccio. A fabulous area for walking with varying degrees of difficulty. The position of the house is ideal and it didn't take too long to get to our walking start points.
We loved sitting outside to eat all our meals. Cooking and washing facilities are very good. The pool was in constant use particularly by the youngest members of our party.
The owners are very responsive during the booking process and at every point along the way. We had a fantastic two week holiday and we can highly recommend the house and the location.
Idyllic rural Italy
Lovely villa with real character and great facilities. If you come to Italy for atmospheric hilltop villages sitting next to dramatic mountains with easy access to the coast, and for great food/wine, then this part of Le Marche matches anything that Tuscany and Umbria can offer.
Beautiful place and area
Enjoyed a lovely week at Casa Val D'Aso. The farmhouse is huge, clean and well maintained with plenty of pots, pans, crockery, glasses etc. in the kitchen. It's just a great place to chill out and relax. The pool was great and enjoyed by all. The weather was a little mixed for us but that just gave us the excuse to enjoy a couple of meals around the big dining table with a few bottles of wine instead of eating outside :)
The owner was very quick to reply to any queries we had when deciding whether to book. I'm so glad we did book, would definitely recommend.
Peace & Tranquility
Its impossible not to relax here. Its so quiet. The views are stunning and the house has the feel of a 5 star hotel. It is beautifully finished and extremely well equipped. We made full use of the BBQ on the first night and watched the sun go down Prosecco in hand! The pool and poolside area were lovely and it was nice to see that there were some inflatable toys for the kids. Whilst you feel that you are miles from anywhere, it is only a short distance from Force and several other pretty villages. We were with a set of parents and three kids yet there was ample space to chill out and enjoy some downtime and at the same time to have great family time together and all of whom would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
An exceptional house in every way!
Casa Val D'Aso is a magnificent house. It has been beautifully restored with a nice mix of old and new furniture and restful colours. It is very clean and well-presented and has everything you could possible want. We were just two couples, so we had lots of room. With 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 sittting rooms, 2 dining rooms, 2 ensuites, a family bathroom and separate WC, I'm sure bigger parties would have no problems! The garden is well kept and the pool is a good size. The house is looked after by an English couple who were very friendly and quick to respond when we needed anything.
We did trips to Ascoli PIceno, Casteluccio and the Piano Grande and to the local hill-top towns. All were easy to reach and, in June/early July, we were almost on our own. Inland Le Marche is very unspoilt and is perhaps more stunning than Tuscany, especially the trips into the mountains. The coast was busy at the weekend with Italians having fun. Force has some interesting architecture and a couple of small supermarkets but we were a little disappointed with the lack of restaurants. Communanza, about 10 minutes drive away, has a bigger supermarket and restaurants etc.
You may want to know that there is no internet at the house, which actually proved to be a good thing. There are bars and restaurants nearby that do have free Wi-fi for those who can't bear the separation!
We loved our time at the house and came home rested and relaxed. We would have no hesitation in recommending it and will certainly be considering visiting again.
The coast is approximately 45 minutes away. Our nearest beach is Pedaso - a quiet, child friendly beach with a nice seafood restaurant. Our other local beaches - Porto San Giorgio and San Benedetto - are busier towns but are also family friendly.
Our nearest airports are Ancona or Pescara. RyanAir fly to Ancona and Pescara from London Stansted. Each of these are approximately 1 hour 15 minutes straight forward drive away from Casa Val d'Aso. Other airports such as Rimini, Rome, and Bologna are also frequently used by our guests. See our website for more information.
Our local town - Force - is famed for it's coppersmiths, and sometimes you can still hear the last few remaining artisans at work in the town. Force also has an excellent bar with breathtaking views across the surrounding countryside, a restaurant, takeaway pizzeria, an ATM, baker, two small supermarkets, post office, chemist and a weekly market.
