The compact detached property was completed in 2012 and located at the end of a gated lane. There is parking available and a garden with a stone flagged patio with glazed veranda and garden furniture. Ground floor comprises combined living / dining and kitchen with a log burning stove in the living area. There is a ground floor double bedroom and bathroom and a 1st floor twin bedroom opening directly off the stairs and en suite shower room. The cottage is adjacent to a bridleway and surrounded by mature trees and garden. It is the perfect location for exploring Wales and Shropshire with numerous places of interest an easy drive away, many affording stunning scenic walks and cycle trails.There is a secure bike store available. The unfenced garden makes it unsuitable for dogs.

The tranquil rural surroundings provide a peaceful place to stay with its unspoiled views of the area around Llansilin. There are many places both sides of the English / Welsh Border.to explore with easy access to the lakes around Ellesmere, and places of interest such as Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Chirk and Llangollen. There are also biking trails in the area such as near Llandegla where there is a visitors centre and good facilities.

This traditionally built stone cottage, built 2012, is located in a tranquil garden. The location combines access to sporting activities, like fishing, biking or walking. with a peaceful rural location The terrace has a glazed veranda and offers a pleasant place to relax . The property,, located approximately 7 miles from Oswestry, is 1 mile outside the village of Llansilin, up a gated lane.

Situated close to a bridleway with easy access to local footpaths the property is surrounded by a garden with lawn and a stone flagged patio with garden furniture and glazed veranda. It is adjacent to open countryside and has a pleasant rural open position, however, as it is unfenced it is not suitable for pets and care should be taken with children to ensure their safety. There is secure storage for bicycles. This non smoking compact property has private (treated) borehole water supply and septic tank drainage. There is a log burning stove in the living area and logs supplied. Heating and hot water supplied by air-source heat pump and is underfloor on the ground floor and by radiators on the 1st floor. The cottage is cleaned weekly. All towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. Automatic washing machine in bike storage shed. Tumble drier in Owners adjacent house available on request. This property is only available between April and October.

Beautiful accommodation in a secluded location

The cottage is small but perfectly formed and had plenty of space for myself, my husband and our young daughter (we would have been absolutely fine with another child). The garden is lovely and attracts lots of insects that my daughter enjoyed looking at, even in the very wet weather we had during our stay. When we were able to sit out, we found it a lovely space to relax. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds very comfortable. There is everything provided in the kitchen that you could possibly need (a much better selection than I've found in other places) and the appliances work well. There is a little shed next to the property with a washer and dryer, which is very handy when you have a young child who needs to nap in the day and might be disturbed by the noise. The wifi connection was good, TV worked fine, and although there was an intermittent issue with the hot water while we were there, the owners let us know about it and are trying to get it fixed. The location is gorgeous and removed even from the small village it is near - perfect when you want to get away from it all. We had a lovely stay despite very mixed weather and would definitely return. Thank you!

Fabulous! Even more so than indicated on the website. The cottage is so tastefully done!!

We had a superb stay in this wonderful cottage. So comfortable and cozy and well equipped. We even had our own private laundry shed, detergent and laundry basket included. The owners could not possibly have done more to accommodate their guests and to make them feel welcome. The property itself is stunning and so well maintained. We had complete privacy and yet the owners are only a knock on the door away. This is the perfect vacation home for R&R and for enjoying beautiful North Wales. Could not recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful cottage in beautiful location

Just returned from a lovely three night stay at Andrew and Fiona's holiday cottage. Having been built just three years ago (with original stone from the area) it has all the charm of an older property but with all the modern facilities. The property was extremely clean and well cared for and we very much appreciated the added touch of fresh flowers, some milk and water in the fridge and the delicious Bara Brith fruit cake on arrival! The cottage has everything you need for 2 - 4 people and Andrew and Fiona live in the next house should you need anything. The phone reception was a bit hit and miss in the area but there is good wifi coverage in the cottage.The back patio area is a lovely suntrap in the afternoon/early evening and we enjoyed sitting out there for a drink after our days out and about. The area is slightly 'off the beaten track' but because of that it is so peaceful and we enjoyed our daily drive past the sheep to the main road! It is in fact only a 25 minute stroll to the small village - where we enjoyed a drink and a quick meal at the local pub one evening. The views in the area are wonderful! There are plenty of places to visit nearby and Snowdon was approx a 2 hour drive away. We wished we could have stayed a whole week there. Andrew and Fiona were both very friendly and kindly called less than an hour after we had left to say we'd left something behind, which gave us a chance to go back and pick it up before we had headed back home.

Hopefully we will be able to visit again for longer next year!

cosy, immaculate property

Loved this place. A nice 15-20 min walk to the village down a little lane - in the most beautiful countryside. Owners really lovely, and there if you need, but also leave you to it. Everything you could need, including WiFi (helpful to communicate if you have no mobile phone reception!) owner advised WiFi was slow due to rural location, but for facebook/bbc news etc worked absolutely fine. Llansilin village very friendly, and Oswestry in easy reach. We ordered some takeout food with family in the village and they arranged to deliver to the local pub (who were in agreement and even leant their phone a we couldn't get reception). Good shower, comfy bed and all mod cons. Great.

Delightful hideaway

we had a lovely time in this clever adaptation of an old piggery which has everything you need and plenty of access to the countryside from the door and lots to do further afield - no sign of the former occupants by the way
