Cottage in Llansilin, Nr. Welshpool, Powys, Wales - Adjacent To Owners' Property In A Peaceful Location 1 Mile From The Village

The compact detached property was completed in 2012 and located at the end of a gated lane. There is parking available and a garden with a stone flagged patio with glazed veranda and garden furniture. Ground floor comprises combined living / dining and kitchen with a log burning stove in the living area. There is a ground floor double bedroom and bathroom and a 1st floor twin bedroom opening directly off the stairs and en suite shower room. The cottage is adjacent to a bridleway and surrounded by mature trees and garden. It is the perfect location for exploring Wales and Shropshire with numerous places of interest an easy drive away, many affording stunning scenic walks and cycle trails.There is a secure bike store available. The unfenced garden makes it unsuitable for dogs.

The tranquil rural surroundings provide a peaceful place to stay with its unspoiled views of the area around Llansilin. There are many places both sides of the English / Welsh explore with easy access to the lakes around Ellesmere, and places of interest such as Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Chirk and Llangollen. There are also biking trails in the area such as near Llandegla where there is a visitors centre and good facilities.

This traditionally built stone cottage, built 2012, is located in a tranquil garden. The location combines access to sporting activities, like fishing, biking or walking. with a peaceful rural location The terrace has a glazed veranda and offers a pleasant place to relax . The property,, located approximately 7 miles from Oswestry, is 1 mile outside the village of Llansilin, up a gated lane.

Situated close to a bridleway with easy access to local footpaths the property is surrounded by a garden with lawn and a stone flagged patio with garden furniture and glazed veranda. It is adjacent to open countryside and has a pleasant rural open position, however, as it is unfenced it is not suitable for pets and care should be taken with children to ensure their safety. There is secure storage for bicycles. This non smoking compact property has private (treated) borehole water supply and septic tank drainage. There is a log burning stove in the living area and logs supplied. Heating and hot water supplied by air-source heat pump and is underfloor on the ground floor and by radiators on the 1st floor. The cottage is cleaned weekly. All towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. Automatic washing machine in bike storage shed. Tumble drier in Owners adjacent house available on request. This property is only available between April and October.

Unfortunately we found the settee very uncomfortable, the dining stools were no better, consequently there was no comfort when in came to relaxing

What an amazing location beautiful views and so peaceful, the standard of the cottage is first class with everything you could need. Fiona and Andrew are really nice people making you feel at home, also helpful with knowledge of the local area.

Overall a great stay in a great cottage, you could not ask for anything better

Well we said last year that we'd be back and we have been. 3 stays booked in for 2016 - have had 2 so far and 1 more to go at end of August. Hands down our favourite home away from home. The cottage is so well equipped, comfortable, peaceful, cosy, immaculately clean and so picturesque. Fiona and Andrew friendly, approachable and very interesting and enjoyable hosts. We're considering trying to talk them into winter opening!!!

Beautiful setting

If u want 'out in the sticks' but too far from places to visit, & to experience tranquility in the beautiful Welsh countryside then this is the place to stay. The setting of this cottage is absolutely stunning with views right across the countryside. Andrew & his wife are so welcoming & advised us on eating out & places to go mountain biking with the kids.
