Set in the grounds of "Villa Sonsbeek" there are two holiday accommodation units "Little Sonsbeek" and "Annexe at Sonsbeek". We welcome well behaved dogs in both units.
"Little Sonsbeek" is a spacious and modern 3 bedroom bungalow detached from the owners private accommodation "Villa Sonsbeek". It benefits from a large front garden and rear south facing private decked area with table and chairs. It has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and south facing conservatory. Access is via a private entrance. Parking for one car is provided in a private hard-standing off Hunts Road. Ideal for a family with ample space and comfort for up to 6 people
"Little Sonsbeek" comfortably sleeps up to 6 people with one double, one twin and a single bedroom. Additional sleeping is provided in the lounge (1 double and 2 single sofa beds). So the accommodation offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a one time set up of linens included. A cot is available in the double bedroom if required, please request at time of booking.
"Little Sonsbeek" has a spacious lounge/dining room with TV, FreeSat and DVD player and we provide a good range of DVDs to keep the children occupied if you find yourselves housebound due to the good old British weather! Free WiFi is also available in most of the bungalow. The dining area can seat up to 6 people and we can provide a high chair upon request.
The two bathrooms in "Little Sonsbeek" have instant electric "Triton" showers whilst one also offers a bath to relax and unwind. A one time set up of towels is included in the rental rate.
The kitchen is equipped with all you need for self-catering including oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, ironing board and iron as well as a good range of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Outside there is a rotary washing line so you can even wash, dry and iron your clothes before you leave!
"Annexe at Sonsbeek" is an apartment smaller than the bungalow located in the double garage conversion of "Villa Sonsbeek". It is detached from "Little Sonsbeek" and link-detached from "Villa Sonsbeek". The attractive and modern interior is finished to a good standard and is ideal for a couple or single person. It can sleep 3 max in the double bedroom and via sofa bed in the living area.
The living area offers ample storage space with a large wardrobe, storage units and drawers. FreeSat TV and free WiFi is also included. It also has a small dining table and chairs.
The kitchen area is fully equipped for self catering with oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and washing machine. A good selection of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery is provided and caters for up to 3 people. Clothes can be dried on a clothes line provided in the outside access passageway. There is a shower room/toilet fitted with a "Triton" instant electric shower.
"Annexe at Sonsbeek" benefits from exclusive use of a large elevated section of garden with table and chairs and a car parking space on main driveway.
"Annexe at Sonsbeek" is accessed via a private entrance off the main driveway and has a secure lockable gate.
If you are planning a holiday with parents or friends requiring their own space the linked access gate between the two units can be opened to allow an extended family of up to 10 to holiday together but have their own living and sleeping space. Special rates apply when booking both units so please request a quote.

This area is in our opinion one of the most beautiful and peaceful in the UK whilst enjoying a warmer climate. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, the undercliff region benefits from a 'micro-climate' which is why the Ventnor Botanic Garden is located here. With coastal and downs walks and secluded bays only minutes walk away it is ideally located for those that enjoy the great outdoors in a quiet peaceful location away from it all. Nowhere is far away by car on the Isle of Wight so you can go and explore whilst knowing you have a comfortable and relaxing retreat to return to.
Benefits include its idyllic location, variety of coastal and downland walks, peace and quiet in one of the warmest parts of the UK whilst the town of Ventnor is just 5 minutes drive away.
the property was clean and tidy and met all our needs , the owners were very friendly and helpful if required, set in a peaceful location with lovely coastal walks which is perfect for dog owners, very good local beaches and places to eat out such as spy glass inn located in ventnor and Wight mouse inn located in chale , would holiday here again and would recommend .
My husband and I were looking forward to a few days holidays by the sea. Little Sonsbeek Annex has everything you need with the added bonus of a private garden for your convenience.
The property is very conveniently located in the middle of St Lawrwnce, a beautiful and peaceful village with lovely secluded coves near by and a few meters away from the coastal path. You can easily reach Ventnor and enjoy the many restaurants and quaint shops.
Nick and Raquel were very attentive and helpful hosts and we would love to go back and spend more time in this beautiful area.

I am a keen walker, runner and cyclist and always happy to advise you or show you around the local area.
Located on the south coast of the Isle of Wight with the secluded bays just 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Although these beaches are generally stones/pebbles they are suitable for swimming and relaxing in the very favourable climate of this area.
St Lawrence is on the south coast of the Isle of Wight so is an approximate 30 minute drive from the ferry ports of Fishbourne, Cowes and Yarmouth. As a foot passenger from Ryde (via FastCat or Hovercraft from Portsmouth) you can take the train to Shanklin which is just a 15 minute drive away so is a cost-effective taxi journey to "Sonsbeek".
The nearest town is Ventnor which is 5 minute drive by car, 15 minutes by bike or 30 minutes by foot. The road to Ventnor has very little traffic and passes the Botanical Gardens and Ventnor Park, both of which are well worth a visit. Ventnor Park has a bandstand with performers on Sunday afternoons during the summer season. The village of Niton is a similar distance in the opposite direction and can be accessed via a pleasant downs walk or by road if driving or cycling.
St Lawrence has a convenience store/Post Office within a few minutes walk. The town of Ventnor with many shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and popular seafront with sandy beach and views over the English Channel is just a 5 minute drive away.
