Centrally located in the heart of Brittany, close to many pretty tourist towns as well as beautiful lakes, rivers and canals eg Josselin, Ploermel, Malestroit, Rochefort en Terre, Vannes. Yet only about an hour from both the north and south beaches of Brittany and from Rennes. Also very close to the Forest of Broceliande, home of Merlin's grave and the gilded tree. http://www.brittanytourism.com/discover-our-destinations/broceliande/unmissable-sites/the-forest-of-broceliande
We are located in the heart of this lovely village; the house being whitewashed, with red doors, shutters and windows.
Kate is an artist and antique restorer in England and has furnished the house in period style with original old mirrors and pictures. John teaches maths.
There is a very large double bedroom (with a double bed settee, if needed) and a second room with twin beds across the landing. A further French day bed is available if needed.
The bedding is good quality and our changeover person will prepare everything in the house for your arrival.
There are two bathrooms and two toilets..
The main living area on ground level is 32 foot by 18 foot, with the free standing country kitchen at one end. We have TV with French channels. No internet but there is access 5 mins across the square at the syndicate d' initiative (tourist information office). We usually buy a data package from our service provider before we go over, to use while on holiday as the phone signal is good.
The garden is maintained with large grass area, fruit trees, a grapevine and many lovely flowers in all seasons. There is a large covered outdoor area (préau) for dining, lounging and barbecuing.
Family run village shop with artisan bakery, fresh baked croissants bread and patisseries; bank with cash point; post office, bar/restaurant and tourist information office with internet all within 2 minutes walk.
A place to wind down, relax with good French food and wine and forget about all those work emails.
Here is a quote from one of our guests...
"We had an absolutely wonderful time in La Trinite Porhoet. The house was perfect, just what we were looking for. Very French and obviously carefully restored. It was great to have the outdoor space in the beautiful weather and also very well situated for the village boulangerie which we made very good use of. Kate had left really useful guides and local information and as a result we had a day trip to Carnac which we would not have missed. A great base for a holiday or short break in Brittany !"...Alice
