Little Fig is a deceptively large and beautifully designed property with the accommodation all on one level. It has 3 bedrooms (sleeping six) and 2 bathrooms. The reception space makes it ideal for mixed ages and families alike with a large dining hall (dining table that seats 10), sitting room/sun room and a drawing room. The large garden offers plenty of lawned area plus a terrace with dining table and chairs for 6, deep herbaceous borders, a herb garden, wild flower meadow and young orchard.

About Sarah Seccombe
I spent my childhood in Aldeburgh and my husband and I plan to retire here. We bought our cottage in September 2013 and simply love our time here. Whilst we can't be here all the time we are happy for holiday-let guests to enjoy our house as much as we do.
Sarah Seccombe purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Sarah Seccombe chose Aldeburgh
It's Aldeburgh! Great location, quiet and tucked away with a large garden but within 5 minutes walk of the beach and High Street.
What makes this Cottage unique
Few properties of this size in Aldeburgh have such large gardens whilst still being so centrally located. The property is situated on a private road so it is very quiet and private.

This property did not disappoint and outstanding is an accurate description. Spacious, light, beautifully and tastefully decorated. All the bedrooms were very spacious. Little Fig was a very comfortable and well equipped property and, unlike some, had a very homely feel about it. The private and spacious patio and garden were a joy. The owners were always responsive and very easy to contact and deal with. The propert's location was within easy reach of shops and the sea yet had a secluded and private position. Highly recommended. We would stay here again.
Lovely long weekend at Little Fig, suited us very well. Lots of great entertaining space, very well equipped cottage, shame it was a bit too chilly to enjoy the stunning garden! Thank you
Very well positioned, very clean and well appointed.
A lovely bungalow, in a good spot, very private. The only downside structurally is the lack of two bathrooms, although there is a wet room, this is not really suitable for elderly people, and so we ended up all using the one bathroom. There were a few minor issues with equipment and garden, which we dealt with directly with the owner, who was very pleasant.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry you found the wet room unsatisfactory for a more elderly guest. In the past we've received very positive comments on how user-friendly it is and indeed, given there's no step up into it, how perfect it is for less-abled guests.
With a large bath & a separate shower stall in the main bathroom and the wet room to choose from our experience is that other guests have not been deterred.
Little Fig ticked all the right boxes for us, providing perfect accomodation in a lovely setting
Little Fig is located in a quiet residential road and sits behind a wicket fence in the middle of an attractive garden. The interior did not disappoint - it was light, spacious and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the main bathroom was large . The dog had plenty of garden space to explore and the utility room would have been ideal to clean him down had he got wet and dirty, fortunately the weather was dry and sunny for the whole week.
We found it perfectly situated not being right in the centre of town because their were alternative walks to reach the town which did not take very long and enabled us to appreciate the town.
We could have just stayed put and totally chilled out in Aldeburgh for the week but we did visit Snape, Orford, Framlingham, Helmingham Hall ( a must for garden lovers ), Woodbridge to name just a few place. The county is great for nature lovers , art lovers , foodies ,sailors and walkers. Even the lesser abled walkers could manage the area as it is so flat , ideal for the older generation.
Hopefully we will be able to return to Little Fig as we enjoyed our stay very much.
Thank you very much for your very kind review. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. A large number of our guests re-book Little Fig year on year which is a complement we truly appreciate. We'd be delighted if you were to return too. BW Sarah
Immaculate bungalow in a perfect location
We have stayed at Little Fig twice now. It is an immaculately kept property which is very bright and airy, with a large pretty garden. It's within a few minutes walking distance of Aldeburgh and the sea front, but set in a very quiet location. We can't fault the customer service from the owners. It's so nice we'd really like to keep it to ourselves!
Thank you for such a great review. We are always very pleased when our visitors return because they enjoy Little Fig so much!
We feel very fortunate indeed to have such a lovely Aldeburgh home!
Little Fig - Fabulous place to stay
Little Fig is a wonderful, spacious, bright place to stay. The place was spotless, beds comfy, peaceful, just perfect! We spent quite a lot of time in the beautiful garden. Our children, 9 and 8 loved it. Just a short walk to the High Street in Aldeburgh. Highly recommended.
Special interest holidays: Aldeburgh has many festivals including the world reknowned Aldeburgh Music Festival at Snape Maltings and additionally food, literary & poetry festivals. The area offers many beautiful walks and RSPB Minsmere is within 5 miles. Coast/Beach: Aldeburgh beach is just 5 minutes walk from the property. In the other direction, and just 3 minutes walk away are the beautiful marshes and river wall.
