West Bay Barn Conversion in Idyllic Country Surroundings - Fabulous
Our family of 12 and 2 dogs have just enjoyed the most wonderful family celebration holiday in West Bay, Noss Mayo. The huge family rooms and ample garden space enabled us all to enjoy our holiday without being 'under each others feet'. Plenty of books and games to keep the children occupied as well as a very large tv with others in bedrooms. Having said that it was the swimming pool and pool table that were the 'jewels' as far as our family was concerned. We enjoyed warm swimming in a clean well kept pool and the clean accommodation is a credit to those that service it all. The BBQ was easy to use and the outdoor seating ideal for adults and children on separate tables as well as plenty of relaxing chairs.
The short drive to Mothercombe Beach was worth while but walking to the local Stoke Beach Cove along footpaths with glorious country and sea views with a swim at the end was a lovely dog friendly walk taking about 45mins.... of course you could always drive to the car park at the top!!
In all a Fabulous Holiday with Thanks to owner Mary for all her 'email' attention.
Great property for a family get together
Great place had a great time, large kitchen we could all sit around the table with no problem, as there were 3 generations the games room was a must. The only criticism I would have was the pool, it need some upgrading.
Excellent family accommodation
We were a party of 6 children aged 2 - 7 and 6 adults. The accommodation was very spacious and very well equipped. The children had plenty of room to run around outside, and to find places to play inside, and they all loved the swimming pool.
The accommodation is in a very quiet and in a relatively isolated spot. During our stay the weather was fine and hot and we were able to enjoy the local beaches, especially Mothercombe. The journey time from the accommodation is approximately 15 minutes by car, and the nearest shops (small Co-op and Morrisons) are approximately 30 minutes away by car.
The only equipment that didn't work was the gas BBQ, the gas cylinder was empty.
We would recommend the accommodation to groups with small children, and also to groups of adults.
Great large property with pool in lovely location
We had a brilliant stay here, the house was very spacious with plenty of room for our group of 3 families, the lounge is very large and even has a piano, the pool room is great for keeping the kids entertained. The garden is great, with a nice patio area with plenty of seating for larger groups, then there is also a sunken garden area with a slide and swing which the kids enjoyed, there is a small path to the road at the back though so need to keep an eye on little ones. The pool was great, it was a good temperature, and we were the only ones using it during our stay. The only downside was that it was quite deep all the way across so the smaller children couldn't touch the bottom at all. The surrounding area is lovely, we visited two different beaches only a short distance away from the property. Noss Mayo is also worth a visit, we had dinner at The Ship which was very nice. Overall a great stay in a spacious house, I would definitely come back again!
Luxury. Beautiful building with sensitive makeover
Fantastic house, perfect for family and friends. Close to good pub food and coastal walks. Perfect for all weathers. Fantastic well provided kitchen.
Overall the property was spacious and yet cosy, comfortably housing 12 adults for a long weekend. It was well maintained and very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped, and the gas BBQ outside made for a wonderful meal out on the large patio. The pool being just across from the property was warm and inviting, a real asset to the house.
Overall West Park was absolutely wonderful, we all had a lovely stay, and would highly recommend it.
