This is a very special coastal area of Hampshire with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. With strict planning covenants and is a designated holiday home area to prevent redevelopment as its position is unrivalled. Many of the holiday homes have been with the same families since its inception in the 1950s.
The mile long lane to the holiday park from Hook Village is mainly tarmac with 19 speed bumps as it is used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders to access and enjoy the miles of countryside, cliffs, the Solent Way paths and beach.
Hello Thank you for looking at Solent Shores. A little about us. We are Pauline and Giles and we owned and ran an RYA Sea School, Ocean Adventures Sailing, and spend most of our time away sailing and living on board Quintessence our 42 foot yacht. In 2016 we spent several months sailing down to the Algarve where we are enjoying the live aboard life.
My son and daughter in law live a few doors along from Solent Shores and will be on hand to assist you whilst you are staying and are taking care of all the housekeeping and gardening etc.
Pauline Bowdler purchased this bungalow in 2006
Solent Shores was bought in 2006 and has been fully refurbished with a large open plan lounge/dining room/ kitchen to take advantage of the views across the
Solent. We bought it as our holiday home and found we weren't going home! Now we are away so much sailing. Friends who have stayed always hate to leave. New beds in 2015 including top of the range king size waterbed which is incredibly comfortable, supportive and doesn't wallow!! many guests have said they want to take it home!
The view and location are second to none! Unlike other holiday homes with sea frontage that you may look at, we have a breath-taking, uninterrupted panoramic sea views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight stretching from the Napoleonic forts at the eastern end of the Solent, Cowes directly opposite, then down to Newtown Creek in the west Solent This is one of the busiest shipping areas and probably the most famous sailing area of the

Fantastic property, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean with the best welcome pack I have seen, and welcomed by sculptured towels. Peaceful and tranquil, the perfect place for my elderly mother (95) to relax and enjoy the views. Hosts could not have been more helpful and an information pack with everything that we needed. Can't wait to return!
My husband and 2 boys have thoroughly enjoyed our stay 3 week stay here. Solent Shores is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need. Towels, bed linen and tea towels are provided and changed weekly. The Owners and Housekeeper have looked after us so well, thank you! This definitely gets 5 stars from us :)
Fantastic for watching the cruise ships pass your door. Property was very high standard, couldn't fault it and will be staying again
Absolutely lovely, a very well presented property and perfect for a bit of R and R.
