Happisburgh, Stalham - Quiet village location 10 minutes to the beach
Pet friendly period cottage in the heart of Happisburgh, with its iconic lighthouse, on the Norfolk coast. Albion Cottage is situated just outside the church gates in the centre of the village on a very quiet lane. Perfect for summer breaks or winter escapes alike, this charming, elegant cottage is ideally located just 10 minuets from a glorious sandy beach. It is located adjacent to the owners' home in one of Norfolk's most picturesque coastal villages. Please note pet fee of £25 per pet per visit.
The cottage has a drawing room which features a handsome open fire, a dining room with a cosy log burner, a conservatory and a chiming courtyard garden. The decoration throughout is heaven with its William Morris wallpapers and coverings and fine pieces of victorian furniture.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms which sleep 3 adults and a baby/toddler or 2 adults with 2 children and a baby/toddler or 4 adults (1 adult in a bed settee in the living room). We welcome pets - up to 2 large dogs, 3 medium or small dogs, 2 cats and any pet in a cage - and charge £25 per dog or cat per visit
The village itself is now famous for the oldest evidence of human activity outside of Africa with footprints discovered on the beach to be over 900,000 years old.
The cosy local pub, within 50 meters of the cottage, echoes the local connection with 'Sherlock Holmes' author Arthur Conan Doyle who visited many times and wrote one of his books here.
If you have a larger party this property can be booked in conjunction with The Gig House at a special rate.

Wonderful Cottage, Wonderful Host
I would highly recommend a stay at Albion cottage. It is a beautiful example of as it states a victorian gem with all the comforts of home. Liz provided a cream tea for when we arrived and popped in and provided a wealth of local knowledge. Would definitely highly recommend a stay and will be returning in the future. Thanks Liz
Beautiful place with period feel and everything you need.
Lovely, cosy and comfortable house. We enjoyed the fire and all the home comforts. Just around the corner from a great local pub and in a good location for visiting the surrounding area.
A step back in time
When you enter this cottage you step back into the Victorian era, but with none of its discomforts
Meticulously decorated for the period, but with all the amenities you could want, and a lovely cream tea welcome.
Just amazing. Beautiful, comfortable, interesting. Fantastic place to Get Away from every day life.
We loved our stay. After a day out it's the perfect place to come back to. The open fire, the comfortable couch, warm bedrooms with the best bed ever. All beautifully decorated and interesting pictures. Plus well stocked bookshelves. Couldn't ask for anything else.
Wow just amazing
We had a really special time, we cannot fault anything, the owners are
Very welcoming really care about the beautiful house. You will not be disappointed with this lovely stay..
Clean. Cosy. Lovely
We have just had a 3 night stay at this delightful cottage. Apart from the fact that everything was so clean I really cant think of a place we have stayed in which has been as well equipped as albion cottage. You simply couldn't have needed or expected anything more. Liz appears to have worked incredibly hard and put so much thought into making the cottage as welcoming as it is.The scones jam and cream which awaited our arrival were a lovely touch and very welcome. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage with a very thoughtful but unintrusive host. Thank you Liz
