Villa in Geris, Nr. Yalikavak, Bodrum Peninsula, Aegean Region, Turkey - Peaceful Location, Short Drive To Yalikavak And Gumusluk
About mark ferguson
We are Mark and Melissa. We have 2 young kids and live in the north of England.
Why mark ferguson chose Geriş
We made a late booking with owners direct in a villa close by in Gundogan. We were so impressed with the area that we thought about buying a villa abroad ourselves. Spain was too expensive, a little risky and the euro didn't help. When we found out the property prices in the area were 3 times cheaper it was a no brainer. We rented at Oleander to check it out and the rest is history.
What makes this Villa unique
Being out at Villa Jasmine really is like home from home. It is so peaceful and picturesque all year round. Oleander is a fairly tightly knit community and we've met many great friends from being an owner. It's so relaxing, the staff are very helpful and renter's are always made to feel part of the family! We certainly were.

AUGUST 2019 REVIEW
Great communications from day one and an easy process for holiday rental. Villa was well kitted out and had everything that we needed. Private pool was fantastic, as was the communal pool and bar / snack area. Would definitely recommend.
Thanks for the positive feedback Robert. Delighted you enjoyed your stay.
Superb holiday. A family of 5 and we all thought it was the best holiday we've had. The villa and view are 5 star. The complex was full of people who couldn't do enough to help and give holiday tips. The local people could not do enough for you and the resorts of Gumusluk and Yalikavik were gorgeous. As for value for money - an evening meal with drinks was about 50 pounds and a full day boat trip was 12 pounds each. A similar villa in majorca with those views would be 2 grand more. Excellent.
Thanks Matthew for your review. Very pleased you and the family had a great time.
Fabulous villa with fantastic owner
I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking to visit Bodrum. We had a wonderful family holiday in this fantastic villa with private pool. The villa itself was very clean and very well presented. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. The owner (Marke) was helpful and accommodating, minor technical issues were swiftly fixed. Can't wait to get back for a longer stay next year!
Thank you Mark for your hospitality :)
Thank you so much Filiz. I'm very pleased you had such a great time.
Fantastic property, great location.
This is an ideal family property, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and lovely open lounge and kitchen area. It also has a viewing/private balcony on the roof, with stunning surrounding views. The property opens out into a covered area, ideal for relaxing out of the sun, which then leads to an open garden with a beautiful swimming pool, which is an ideal size and in an ideal location, as you can swim safely, and have full views from within the house if you have children swimming. This villa has every facility you'd require - fully featured bedrooms, combi boiler offering instant hot water whenever required, full kitchen, large fridge freezer, lounge with large TV and DVD players. It's ideal because it's located in a place which offers stunning views, but is also a few minutes from the main town, beaches, marina and harbour, all offering different attractions and value. The marina is listed in the world's top 10, so the restaurants are fantastic, however the prices are amazingly cheap for what's on offer, especially in comparison to the UK, or even the rest of Europe. What I found this offered above the many other villas in the surrounding area was a 'community' feeling. It's part of a set of villas which offers 2 very large communal pools, which you're free to use, and a great bar/restaurant, run by a great host. Through this, in the evenings you can wander to the bar/pool area, and enjoy a drink or dinner if you want, but can also be away from it, if that wasn't your choice. A great Villa, great location, and fantastic holiday.
Thanks Dan, I'm pleased you enjoyed yourself and glad the villa was everything you wanted it to be.
Fantastic property with amazing views
We were at the villa for 2 weeks, from the 18th July 2015.
The first thing you see is the amazing view from the villa.
From the balconies and from the amazing roof top terrace, the sunset is a must see, every night of your stay.
We were a family of four, with children aged 8 and 6. We also had grandparents join us for a week.
The villa was more than big enough for all. The rooms and space was ideal and the private pool was outstanding.
The pool is witching 5 steps of the kitchen and seating areas. It is clean, safe and perfect for children.
All the furniture and equipment are excellent quality. The sort of touches you want for Great holiday.
The complex is pretty quiet, even in the school holidays. A few regular families, but never ever overcrowded by any stretch of the imagination.
The main pool, which has a small bar and cafe is top quality. It is 22m in length and was brilliant for the triathlon training I was doing at the time!
The complex is clean, tidy and the poolside beds and parasols are all available for use free of charge and are of really good quality. There is another big pool, which has a child's pool next to it. It is hardly used and is again, clean and tidy and of excellent quality.
Palm who runs the bar is English so any questions you have she can answer. The bar/cafe is really well priced and the food is really good value.
Pan is pretty much always on hand to help.
We had a hire car, and you would probably struggle without one, although the Dolmush' are pretty frequen and you wouldn't have to wait for long.
It would however be more of a struggle without a hire car.
Amazing property with high quality furnishings
Fantastic quiet complex
Amazing private pool
Amazing communal pools

Thanks Craig for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review.
I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay at villa Jasmine.
Great Villa, lovely holiday!
Huge thanks to Mark for all his advice and tips before the holiday. The villa was spot on, and in particular the outside area which was so well equipped and comfortable with the sunloungers, large bean bags and very comfortable sofa. Really appreciated all the plastic kitchenware, ideal for outside!!
We divided our time between the villa pool and the main pool, and Pam and Sait who run Sandy's bar on site were so helpful, friendly and the food was great too!!
Pam in particular really helped us arranging some trips and car hire for the second week from a local company - very reasonable and straightforward.
The Oleander site is very quiet and tranquil, with great views and the most beautiful sunsets! These are even more fantastic from the roof terrace at the villa, which has more large bean bags and rugs.
The Dolmus buses run regularly from very near the site, albeit there is a dusty track to walk across which I believe is quite a new "road", and taxis are reasonable. We hired a car in the second week which is definitely recommended to really appreciate the area.
Yalikavak is larger than we imagined, but still has a very picturesque harbour, lots of great restaurants to choose from and a fabulous atmosphere. Sofi's is definitely well worth a visit - beautiful food, cocktails, staff are very friendly and their roof terrace is another great place to see the sunset!!
Gumusluk is just lovely, much smaller, very pretty and definitely a must - good choice of restaurants!
All round a great holiday - very relaxing, lovely villa, everything you need and a very friendly site - would definitely recommend!!!
Yalikavak and Gumusluk are both beautiful and most importantly we have some great memories!
