Eden is a truly stunning five bedroom Villa, including a separate cottage, located within the secure community of Sugar Hill. Set within an acre of beautiful tropical gardens with a large salt water pool, Eden provides a real sense of privacy and seclusion. Along with far reaching views of the Caribbean Sea, the surroundings are spectacular. Eden is a bright and spacious house with modern décor, offering luxury and tranquillity for those seeking a special Caribbean escape.
Eden’s impressive entrance leads you up a sweeping marble staircase to an elegant living space which includes an entertainment centre with a 42 inch High Definition TV, a multi-regional DVD player and use of extensive satellite TV channels, in addition to a top quality Hi-Fi system with a CD player and IPod link. There are also two individually controlled sets of speakers located in the living space and upper veranda. In addition, there is a separate media room in the cottage.
Three sets of doors open the living space onto an exceptional 1,200 square feet of covered veranda with spectacular views of the tropical gardens and the Caribbean Sea. The veranda offers a sizeable and stylish seating area and a dining area which can entertain up to twelve people. The gazebo, overlooking the large salt water pool, provides an outside bar and ice maker.
The generous bedrooms are beautifully furnished and air conditioned, each with its own spacious marble en-suite bathroom. The cottage is a short walk across the pool deck and consists of a media room, twin bedded room (which can be converted to a King bed) and bathroom, in addition to a kitchen equipped with a fridge, kettle and microwave. The media room is a 200 square feet dual aspect room containing a Smart TV and DVD player with doors opening onto the beautiful landscaped gardens and its own outdoor seating area.
Guests will have exclusive access to Sugar Hill’s Clubhouse and facilities which offer a modern fully equipped air conditioned gym, 2000 square feet communal pool, restaurant and four flood-lit, all weather tennis courts.
Eden has a core team of well trained, talented and friendly staff including a Butler, Cook, Housekeeper and Gardener, who are flexible to accommodate your needs, ensuring that your stay is relaxing. Eden also has a dedicated Villa Manager who is able to offer advice and help with any other requests.
I was lucky enough to stay at Eden twice this autumn: once with family and once with friends. The house was perfectly suited to both vacations. Eden is elegant, beautifully furnished and fastidiously maintained. All the bedrooms are lovely: which is good because it meant the kids did not fight about who slept where. The sitting room is spacious and leads onto an enormous balcony with stunning views over the sea (and the sunset). The garden is packed full of tropical trees and flowers, and is completely private. There is a gorgeous – large – pool, kept in pristine condition. I had not realised the house comes with access to the local beach (about 1km away): loungers umbrellas etc – this was a real bonus and we swam in the sea every day.
The staff are welcoming and very flexible: they really put themselves out to make sure we had a great stay. Sugar Hill is well maintained and we used the gym and the tennis courts – both an easy walk away.
I know I speak for the whole party in saying that we would go back like a shot (and most certainly will).
We stayed at Eden (or should we call it "Paradise"!!!) for 3 weeks over June/July 2016.
We were all there as a family with friends which consisted of 8 adults and 2 children.
The adults are all seasoned visitors to Barbados (having been on holiday there about 15 times) and are used to high end accommodation. Eden matched and even surpassed our expectations.
The villa was in a great location on Sugar Hill with amazing accommodation and outstanding gardens. The villa is superbly maintained and beautifully decorated with high class furnishings which have been tastefully chosen to complement the lovely Barbadian sunshine!!!
All the staff do a fantastic job with Jeffrey supervising all the arrangements, organising cocktails and making sure everything was to our satisfaction.
What can we say about Karon - the food was exceptional and she was happy to "cook to order" if we fancied something special.
There was not one meal that we did not enjoy and we can't give her tooooo much praise.
When we were looking for a villa we had slight reservations about the pool being described as "salt water". However we thought it was brilliant as you couldn't taste any salt and the children who were in the pool most of the time did not suffer from the usual chemical reaction which you can experience with the normal chemical pools.
Overall an unbelievable experience and will certainly be back to enjoy this exceptional villa.
We can all thoroughly recommend Eden to any one looking for a luxury villa in a superb location with exceptional staff.
Arriving hot and tired, and having no idea what to expect, I was absolutely thrilled with everything at Eden. It's a beautiful villa, set in stunning gardens, with all kinds of interesting tropical plants.
The bedrooms open onto the pool terrace so in theory one can just fall out of bed and into the pool, but mostly I went up the the open air dining room for breakfast first.
Lazy mornings spent by the pool or on the gorgeous beach 5 minutes away, were followed by rum punches on the verandah, lunch out ,or more lazing by the pool in the afternoon, before candle-lit drinks and dinner.
So relaxing, but in an excellent position for visiting other parts of the island should the relaxation prove too arduous.
Eden is thoroughly well maintained, well staffed and is to be highly recommended.
Eden is set in a stunning situation. The garden gives a sense of total seclusion. The villa is magnificent, spacious and well equipped. You could spend all day around the brilliant pool area, switching from sunshine to shade as the mood takes you.
It is a fantastic place to relax. Share the space with family and / or friends. It is also well positioned to set out on jaunts to explore Barbados.
I spent four magical days enjoying the luxurious accommodation and high end services provided by the wonderful staff at Eden, including meals that would make Gordon Ramsay proud.. The Garden is a photographers dream and after a morning at the Royal Pavillion Beach Club Eden's large gleaming fresh water swimming pool is the perfect aperitif. Wonderful holiday. Thanks again to the great staff at Eden especially butler Jeffrey and housekeeper Ester.
Eden - not in name alone.
My husband I have just come from a week at Eden with two other couples.
The villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated, with lots of space and comfortable sitting areas - in and out of the shade! Easily enough space for 8-10 people to get lost and have time alone during the day - before coming together for cocktails served by the wonderful Jeffrey. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the whole property is totally secluded. It’s possible to believe you’re completely isolated from the rest of the world, but in reality it’s only 10 minutes from the nearest west coast beach, plus restaurants, shops and bars are all nearby.
So, is there a downside? Well, yes. You will need to get in touch with your personal trainer pretty quick when you get back to reality. How else will you be able to burn off all those extra calories consumed from the great Caribbean dishes provided by Desary, rum punches produced by Jeffrey and because of Esther’s housekeeping you haven’t lifted a finger for a whole week! Bliss!
Eden, as the name implies, is a haven of peace and tranquillity. We had the pleasure of spending two weeks there in July and absolutely didn’t want to leave. The house is set in beautiful gardens, where hummingbirds can be seen and green monkeys visit. The house is beautifully furnished, both inside and out, although we spent very little time inside, preferring to be on the terrace, with its magnificent view of the sea, or around the pool. We were very well looked after by the staff, who were friendly and approachable. We looked forward to Jeffery’s pre-dinner rum punches (for which only the best limes were good enough for Jeffery!), followed by Desary’s marvellous Caribbean meals. We were a large group, two families, but nothing was too much trouble for them and Esther, the housekeeper.
The house enjoys affiliation to the Royal Pavilion’s beach facilities, which has a good range of watersports – kayaks, paddle boards, catamarans – at a small extra charge. The west coast undoubtedly has the best beaches and it is lovely to swim in the Caribbean Sea. On one occasion, we were lucky enough to witness around 250 baby turtles hatching out of their nest, and then to help the beach staff release them into the sea (trying our best not to think about the survival statistics!)
Eden is the sort of place that it’s difficult to tear oneself away from, but is equally great to come back to, after a hard day at the beach. A true paradise!
Sugar Hill is about 40 minutes drive from Grantley Adams Airport and five minutes from historic Holetown.
